Well first of all- if it makes you feel better our 7 month old son still only eats about 4-5 ounces at a time and he hates the stage 2 nipples so we are still on the stage 1.... but anyways- if he is truly teething... have you tried giving him a teether to chew on?? I think he might be a little young but if he will- try that before feeding him because that can help massage the gums and lessen some of the pain, second- you might try some of the teething orajel- that will take the pain away on the gums. Is he eating any cereal yet?? You could also try that- Ryan was eating rice cereal at 2 months. Like yours- our son is the best at fighting sleep and it is sometimes impossible to give him a bottle.... as frustrating as it is- you have to remember that babies won't starve themselves, they will eat when they are hungry. Hope some of this helps!

I think we might stick with the nuk nipples for now since he seems to be taking to them pretty well. We might have to step back to stage 1 on the nuk nipple though because at times he sounds like he is drowning so it might be a little too fast for him.
Zachary isn't on cereal yet. Our four month appointment is at the end of December and we hope to have him start cereal after that.
He's definitely not a starving baby. He was born 5 pounds 9 ounces and in three and a half months he is up to 12 pounds 9 ounces so he is very much eating plenty.
It is pretty funny that he fights sleep but at the same time when he eats the best is when he is just about asleep.
Thanks for all the encouraging words. He really isn't that bad of a baby except for when it comes to napping and feeding. He seems to be a lot happier than he was a few weeks ago though so that is good.Comment

Re: Thrush
That is good...everyone has told us for about 4 months now that Ryan is teething and we have yet to see a tooth-lol! Everyone has tons of advice but you just have to take it and make it work for you. I do love the Nuk bottles but Ryan definitely "drowns" with the med flow nipples. Hope everyone gets back to normal for u soon- keep us updated!!"It takes a real man to sew a teddy bear's crotch at work." Joshuar9476Comment
