    OEM Windows Vista Home question

Hey guys, well got a kind of odd question. I am looking at picking up another copy of Vista. Well Newegg has the OEM version for $99 (was $79, before black friday). It is a system builders copy. Now I know OEM means it comes with no packaging, no support, ect.

My concern is I build alot of systems. Not for people but for myself. I replaced, hardrives, video cards, powersupplies, procs, pretty regular. So I am reinstalling my OS pretty often. Now with XP, you just call in and get a activation number and you are done. My question is, with a OEM copy can you reinstall a OS multiple times??

Reason being is I like to write zeros to my HD about once a year. I like a fresh OS. Runs so much better than a OS that has taken a year+ of system files being tossed around. So I end up throwing XP in around 8 times through out a few year span. With upgrades, writing zeros, ect.

Is this possible with a OEM copy of Vista 64 Home?

Re: OEM Windows Vista Home question

Found the answer. Called MS and got the answer from the horses mouth.

You can install the OS, even a OEM version as many times as you want on a single PC.

So I ordered it off newegg about 20 mins ago
