Father jailed for non-support; child not his

    I love American "justice".

So the real father says that he is taking care of his real daughter and yet, the man mistakenly identified as the father is still being charged with not paying child support to a girl who is not his daughter.

I just don't understand this world.

      how sad.

this man lost 2 years of his life and $12,000 because people are too ignorant/lazy to double check facts.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Things like this are why I hold off before criticizing the people who "go postal". If this guy went and killed 5-10 social workers and other bureaucrats, I couldn't really fault him.

There was probably some idiot working there that couldn't comprehend what he was saying. The computer said he was the father and needed the contact information for him, so the idiot entered it as he was the father. I hate having to do anything with any form of government worker as most of them that I've talked to don't have any reasoning or comprehension skills.

Talk about angry - The system is flawed, stupid and skewed toward the mother's in too many of these cases. The good thing is the law is about to change regarding this (Sept. 08) bill passed and will be enacted in 09. This law now allows for fathers whom were fooled into thinking that a child is theirs to find out later it was not to be able to remove resposibility of support. The current law in place only allows a dispute to be made in the first 2 years I believe of the childs existence. After that, your screwed. At least this is the case in Texas. DNA proven results will be accepted in the coming year under this new amendment.

And yes, I know of this first hand fellas' - and been paying for it going on 14 years.
            Truly Blessed -

It might be time to look into how Child Support is handled period.

I'm sure there are cases where the father shouldn't be paying child support and perhaps the mother should be.

Times have changed and it shouldn't immediately be the father's responsibility to pay for a kid's bills just because he's a man.
