Sad to hear someone is giving up gaming. Its like when growing up you reach that day you relize dont want to play with your toys anymore or you find yourself watching the news instead of cartoons. I have 2 kids and 1 due in February. Right now I can play on my lunch and then for an hour after the kids goto bed. I am content with that.

LOL. FF has an addition to buying and selling consoles. He's just giving in to the selling craze and will be back soon. As predictable as Tuesday following Monday.

I don't game as much with a wife and two kids but I still play. I love playing NCAA football when I have the time and will be playing over the holidays. Besides, FF is basically lying in his original post since he said he'll be playing his PSP and the Wii. Just because it's not a 360 or PS3 doesn't mean it's not gaming. He should have said My Gaming Days are getting shorter but they certainly aren't coming to an end.

I hear ya, with me it's really not about the time so much, it;s just the lack of interest lately. It just kills me to look a a expensive piece of a gaming system that is starting to collect dust. Like I said, I like gaming on my PSP because it's mobile and I play anywhere and not have to wait until my kids go to bed for the TV, by that time I'm tired from working and taking car of the kids thats I don;t wanna game.

Hey it maybe for now or forever, but right now I can use the money if I sold my system for my child since it's not used like I would like too.

Re: I think My gaming days are coming to and..............

I have thought the same thing at times. I am married with 2 kids and one on the way. Now that I have 2 older kids, 7 and 5 I do have some time for gaming because my kids like to entertain themselves at times which gives me a few hours to play. I'll be honest though my PS3 has been played 1 time in the last month. I don't necessarily have a lack of time, but there are a lack of games out that I care about. I like FF love sports games, especially football and the NCAA series. Well that game has disappointed so I have nothing to feel my void. The other factor is lack of funds for new games. Even though I have time, as kids get older so do their hobby and needs. I am lucky to get a game or 2 for Christmas and maybe another game throughout the year. So I feel for you FF and as long as you are happy that is what counts. Spend time with them little ones and when your old and fat you can play some PS6 or XBOX 2160.
I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me!

In fact...it's more fun nowadays with the advances in technology along with the ability to game with guys from all over the country and the world.

No matter what's going on in my life...I don't think I'll ever be able to quit being a gamer.
Yea AA, I remember back in the day running the streets to buddies houses, "Hey wanna go play some Tekken?". It is sooooo much easier now, jump online play with complete strangers and never bat a eye cause I will be off in 45 mins anyway.

Gaming now adays is just soo simple and quick. Gathering friends no long required lol

Amen, i have hard time seeing myself not gaming some day. Even when i have kids someday i`ll still make time for it. I don`t watch a ton of television shows other than sports, and I`m in and out of the gym in an hour. So there will always be time.

I will always find time to at least get an hour in of gaming.

That is commendable. I respect you for that. I have decreased my gaming by 70%, since I had my first kid 8 months ago. For me I would rather spend most of my time with my family. Now, I only game at night after my wife and kid go to bed. But I'm not sure I will ever totally give up gaming. But it definitely isn't as important to me now, as it was before.

I completely understand where you are coming from. Im 32, have an awesome son that requires so much of my time. Lately, I have been gaming too much, and playing FIFA till 1 am with my friends pretty much everynight. It is taking its toll on me, and I feel like crap pretty much everyday from not getting any sleep. I cant play earlier, so its time to decide whats more important, gaming or sleeping. I have been choosing gaming too much, and it needs to slow down or I could see it effecting all other facets of my life.

I spend 5 times more times on OS as I do games. I don't play much at all. I know what FF is saying. I am not buying another game except for the show. I will rent everything else I play a game for 1 or 2 days and then I am tired of it. I don't know if it's the games or me. I might play on average of 2 hours per week. There are some weeks when I don't even turn the PS3 on. I sold my 360 back in May and haven't missed it once.

I'll be playing games with my grandchildren. It's fine to cut back and not buy as many games etc... but if it's one of your hobbies, I don't see why you would need to just stop.
