The missing person's case for toddler Caylee Anthony has come to an end. Her skeletal remains were discovered and identified as herself via DNA tests:

ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 18) - Skeletal remains found in the woods are the Florida 3-year-old who has been missing since June, but they don't reveal any clues about how she was killed, a county medical examiner said Friday.

A utility worker stumbled upon the remains last week, less than a half-mile from where the girl lived. DNA tests confirm that the remains match Caylee Anthony's genetic profile, said the medical examiner, Dr. Jan Garavaglia.

Sad that all hopes have now been dashed, though I'm sure most people threw that hope out the window a long time ago.

Time for her mother to burn in hell.

Side note, for anyone who's watched "Dr. G - Medical Examiner" on Discovery (or TLC, I forget), that's the ME working on this case (it's mentioned in the article as well, I just happened to recognize the name immediately cause I'm jacked in the head )

what I find strange is if she was to kill her own child, why hide the body 1/2 mile from her home ? DOesn't make sense at all. Not saying she is innocent, but it doesn't add up.

I've been reading and following this story since it first broke.
Caylee's mother doesn't sound like a stable person at all. Her own family and friends have described her as a pathological liar. I'm sure she's mentally unstable. So it kind of makes sense that she would dump the body close to her house.
After all, this is the same woman who claimed a babysitter had her, and yet the police found out that the residence of her babysitter had been vacant for months.
And it's also been shown that this 'babysitter' of hers didn't exist.

I also found it very odd that days after her daughter was reported missing (1 month after she disappeared) she was in a hot body contest at a bar. I don't know any loving mother that would be out drinking and partying with their one and only child missing after one month of their disappearance.

This sounds like a classic case of a girl who got pregnant too early and didn't want the burden of motherhood.

The guy who reported the body supposedly reported it 3 times to the police in August!(A cop even showing up on scene), then months later re-reported it and then this big breakthrough took place..

I hope one day that the whole innocent until proven guilty thing turns up in the US, because this trial by media is a disgrace. Sadly though this case may not have been solved without it. I would hate to think how this would have went down if she truly was innocent and just a bad liar/mother/person instead.

stuff like this, while tragic and sad, never used to affect me that much on a personal level. now that i have a child of my own,however, s*** like this almost bring me to tears.

It was just a matter of time til they found her. I was 99% sure that her mother killed her just after listening to the story on Nancy Grace for an hour.
