    Any Knowledge on Football cards?

So I collected cards when I was younger, and I had around 2,500 cards. I was bored today and I went through them, and I separated the ones that I thought could be worth something. I dont know if anyone has knowledge about football cards, but it would be nice to know what your opinion was on some of them I had.

So here it goes, there are 17 pictures. If you need any clarification on what card it is, just ask me which one you are confused about:

Search eBay or buy a Beckett (if that still exists)...

Keep in mind that cards are really only worth what you can get someone to pay for it. Yeah, the price guides could say it's worth 1000, but probably goes for cheaper on the open market.

Great thread. I'm a pretty avid collector, although I have slowed down a bit lately.

You have some pretty decent cards there. I didn't look through all of the pictures, but I don't think you have anything toooo rare or exotic.

Try beckett.com and go to their search option. I think it tells you what some of the cards you own are being sold for.

What happened to you bro, you used to be pretty active in RB6 and GRAW a year or two back. What gives!?

That being said, I know jack **** about cards. I have the 199x White Sox team series and a few David Robinson rookie cards, along with the Gulf War cards (remember those!) and that's it. I'd part with them for a good turkey sandwich in all honesty.

The sports card market has crashed in recent years. For example when I was in 4th grade (20 years ago) my mother bought me a George Brett rookie card when I got all 100's on my spelling tests that year, then it was worth $100-200. Today, 20 years later, I looked in a Beckett at Walmart, it's worth $60-80.

Yeah thanks to autograph cards taking over the market, now cards with swatches of jersey/ball etc arent even as wanted on the open market and have dropped in value. In all reality, unless you have a really rare rookie card, ie. Jordan, Magic, Bird etc, or a serial numbered short print card then not much of the older cards are worth much even if they are a rookie card.
