Re: OS Off Topic 2009
So, there's this...decent chick at work that I finally met/worked with today. She's alright - not hot by any stretch but could probably get it based on the "cute" factor. At least, that is how I viewed her when I first met her. Then I found out who she actually was:
Three years ago, my sister and this guy were going out. My sister goes back to college, guy is still at home...guy cheats on my sister. Sister is "heartbroken" (****ing girls man, so dumb) and all of that ****.
The girl? The guys younger sister.
Finding out this information instantly launched her into "Must **** and never call again" territory. I need to find a way to get with this girl so I can then ignore her, make her pissed and get her brother pissed.
Don't know why, maybe it's because I've always been the protective brother and since this dude was bigger than me, ex-military and all of that and would absolutely kill me in a fight...I just want to find a way to get back at him for cheating on my sisterI don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
Yeah, I had thought that all my dreams would come true. Canada + Soccer = Nowhere. If I would've stayed in Italy (my birthplace), perhaps I would've been more successful. But then again, would I have enjoyed living on a farm my whole life with no education and a couple of cows? Luckily, my parents saved me at six years old, bringing me here just in time for pre-school!My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
IMO it depends. I would take my private school over any public school.
My school is exceptional academically, and is well balanced between the athletics and arts. The teachers are great, and the education received is second to none.
The school I go to is the best in Tulsa and the best in Oklahoma other than this one boarding school for math. I have a bunch of unscheduled time each day to do homework, eat, work on my sculpture in the art complex, or go to the library and argue with my friends over college football. It's pretty awesome. My parents really like it, too because kids get into good school's from here. So far this year we've had a couple people get into Stanford, a couple to Vandy, and I think one to Penn and that was just so far. I have a much better shot at getting into the college of my choice at my private school with help from the college counselors and the study courses we take to be prepared for tests such as the psat. It works great for me and I love it. Public schools are cool, and I have a lot of close friends that attend public schools. Hell, my sister attended a public school and got into one of the most selective liberal arts colleges in the nation.
There really isn't a right answer, it differs person to person. I think private is best for me right now, though.WUSTLComment

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
I was born in Cattolica, Sicily, and at the time, I wouldn't say it was poor, but you know, it wasn't as good as we have it here in North America. Was it nicer? Yes. The mountains were beautiful, from what I remember, though, I visited not too long ago. That was Sicily though; other areas of Italy such as Milan and Rome are pretty prosperous and richer than the South.
The women though, beautiful. They all had eyes that would tell a story, and olive skin that melted you as you held them. LOL! I guess I could use these two lines if I ever write a poem.Comment
