Yeah true, i guess if you spend your whole life worrying it's not much of a life to begin with.

My concern is that the world seems to be getting more and more screwed up everyday so it's going to be interesting to see what it's like in another 15-20 yrs....

The only different is more people are getting killed with guns. Back in the day it was knives. Violence has been apart of the World ever since it creation. The biggest difference is the media. We have news, T.V. and net. So we hear about it more! When I look at my 6 year old and my 7 month old I do worry about them though.

No doubt the media plays a role but i remember when we used to be able to go out and not even lock the house and not worried about anything being stolen. No we get stuff stolen of the front porch while we are in the damn house. Might just be my perception but most of the younger generation (my generation and below) doesn't seem to respect much of anything. (damn i'm sounding like an angry old fart here. )

But hey what can ya do. Just gotta live life and make the most of what ya got....

Your neighborhood was a good one. I lived in Richmond Cali and we had violence and thief happen a lot. When I moved to a better neighborhood it was different. All you can do is try the best you can with your daughters and sons.

It seems like if you have a boyfriend if you're a girl, you're ****ing him. Hardly any couples take it slow anymore. Everyone wants theirs.

So if I have a daughter some day, the best I can do is educate her. From there on, you can't make decisions for her. If she's a slut, she has to live with it.

In a heart beat. I would prefer they were honest with me rather than running around doing it behind my back and a baby at a young age could potentially ruin my daughters life and limit her potential to excel. As bad as it would be to know my "little girl" was sexually active I would rather my daughter is using birth control and protection and i know about it rather than not knowing anything and having her go out and start having unprotected sex.

From my experience it usually turns out being the most "sheltered" kids who go off the rails and parents who have a trusting, open relationship with their kids (like my mother and step-father) tend to steer more clear of trouble. Generalisations i know but that's how i have seen it in most instances.

Anyway to get back on topic what do you think about the situations where parents let their child's boyfriend / girlfriend "sleep over" at their house when they are still in their teens?

No way my parents would have let that go down when i was a teenager but it seems to happen a fair bit these days.....

So, what's wrong with that? I find it hilarious that sex such a taboo topic in America. Our country is prude as hell and sex is still looked at as something bad for the most part. Spend a month in some European countries and see how different it is.

It is human nature to lust, IMO, why it's viewed as a negative quality or behavior is beyond me.

What IS the difference between a "World Class" Slut and a Normal Slut? I think that's what he was trying to say. In other words, was it really necessary to create a thread on how to stop someone from being a slut when it's never going to work anyway lol
