Interview with Steve Noah (Owner/Managing Editor)

BDoughty: So how long have you been with Operation Sports?

Steve_OS: The site was created by Craig Tompkins back in March of 1998. He hired me in the summer of 2000, to help in the news department. He sold the site to Jeff Downey and I stuck around to do the news for him. Jeff had some family and health issues and sold the site to me early 2001.

BDoughty: Why a website dedicated to sports gaming?

Steve_OS: Well, I can't speak for Craig, but when I was a kid, I searched high and low for any sports gaming magazines or tv shows. I was into it big time. I played Real Sports Football for the Atari 2600 all day and night, trying to keep stats and everything. I wanted to see what new games were on the horizon, but never could find any information anywhere. When I found Operation Sports, I was in heaven and when I had the opportunity to buy if from Jeff, I jumped on it.

BDoughty: You put in alot of work on the site, what keeps you going?

Steve_OS: I just love to keep the readers informed. Everyone comes to the site looking for the newest sports gaming updates and I try my best to give them that. I love to hear the comments from our readers, via email or our Forums. In the end, it's all about the love for sports gaming.

BDoughty: Tell us about the Noah family?

Steve_OS: I have a beautiful wife named Vivian (28). She is a network Admin. We have been married for 4 years, I have known her for 7. I have a stepson named Daniel (12), we play sports video games, basketball at the playgrounds all the time. Natalie is my daughter, she is 1. She is running around knocking things over all the time. She is the joy of my life, I'd to anything for her.

BDoughty: Other then sports gaming, do you have an hobbies?

Steve_OS: I love to play basketball at the playgrounds. I love the competition, and I get plenty of it there.

Thank you for the time Steve.

Much better interview than Heel's. I'm glad Steve took over the site. It's fun being here and it's growing by the day. Good job Steve.

Clay quit being an attention whore. This one was about Steve, not his admiration for your suckiness.

You will get your turn in the spotlight soon enough. Right after I interview myself.
