    Fox Sports Radio major changes

Clear Channel much gutted Fox Sports Radio. They merged with KLAC in LA and are calling that their flagship, and are in the process taking some LA oriented shows national. They cut Craig Shemon and James Washington and replaced them with Dan Patrick. They also paired Chris Myers with one of the KLAC hosts and added some dude they call Vic the Brick, who has a bizarre man crush on Kobe. They also dumped Andrew Siciliano and Krystal Fernandez for Petros and Money out of LA. Those guys have subbed for Jim Rome a few times and they totally suck. Big Ben Maller is also gone, they are replacing him with replays of interviews from the days programming. They kept Steve Czaban and JT the Brick.

Fox Sports Radio just went from my favorite radio station to one I'll rarely listen to. Andrew and Krystal were good, and I enjoyed Ben Maller late nights.

Dan Patrick doesnt talk about anything but football and baseball only. Even when theyre out of season

Vic the Brick is leaving the loose cannons to have his own show? If you wanna know why its unbearable to deal with laker fans in LA for real, just listen to him for about a month and you'll see why.

Petros and Money are good sometimes, but there are other times they arent interesting. Their show doesnt necessarily follow a script so they just go on about all kinds of things alot of the times, but when serious and in a playful mood they are good guys.

Dan Patrick is very good and that was the one move Clear Channel made IMO that was good. I'm not a fan of the rest of the moves at all.

Petros and Money subbed for Rome on Monday and I think pretty much all the emails and texts were bashing and making fun of them.

To add to this story a bit WDFN in Detroit better known as the FAN which is also owned by clear channel has gutted their entire on air staff and are simulcasting the nationally syndicated Fox Sports material. The only live stuff from that station from now on will be sports updates and Pistons games.

Pretty sad stuff if you ask me.

KFAN out of Minneapolis let Chad Hartman go this week also. They are owned by Clear Channel as well.

yeah I listen to WDFN to and from work. While I love some of the national shows (listen to Rome, Tirico and Van Pelton on 1050AM) all the Fox Sports stuff is so geared towards the west coast that nothing but those shows suck. I think they should've kept at least one local show.

I've hated Vic the Brick for a good 20 years now ever since he was the sports anchor for one of the TV stations here in SoCal.

The guy is a complete tool with a worn out schtick.

                          XM Listener here.

They replaced J-Dub and C Note (Washington and Shuman) for Dan Patrick? Siciliano and Krystal for Petros show? Vic the Brick is getting his own show?

FSR, just went from the channel I by far listen to most, to being taken off my presets. Unbelievable.

I guess it's back to listening to GAC on my way home, for all the Cowboys/Rangers/Mavericks homerism and humor.

JT The Brick is still decent, but I think I'm going to be listening to ESPN Radio a lot more now on XM. The local sports station here only broadcasts Mike & Mike and then they switch to Fox Sports Radio. I flipped back and forth a lot on XM between ESPN Radio and FSR in the past.

I haven't heard anything about some of their weekend people like John Frickie (who is a great), Denny Hocking, or Lincoln Kennedy. I still can't believe they cut so many people who had been with them for so long.

That dude gets made fun of and ridiculed beyond belief. The pain of listening to him and Sean Salisbury on the San Diego local morning show about 6-8 years ago was beyond belief.
