The $5 was different at other stores also. There were some places that had $5 on most of the subs, some on only a few. Hopefully this is national and on all subs.

Yeah, try that recipe out and let me know what you think. I'll go in and edit that when I get home to this effect, but the filling recipe that I used ended up making about 60 dumplings. If you scaled it back to 1lb of pork as suggested, it should be right around 35-40. The dough recipe with 2 cups of flour was good for about 25-30 dumplings, so scale according to how many you want to make.

Like making tamales or something similarly time-consuming, you may as well go all out and make a day of it, especially since they freeze and cook from frozen well. If you freeze them, you'll just need to allow some extra cook time in any of the methods. If you steam them, just let them go 2-3 minutes longer, but for potstickers, you'll want to add a bit more water and let the 2nd step in the cooking process (adding water to the hot pan) last another 2-3 minutes. The filling is raw so you definitely want to make sure it's cooked through.

Enjoyed that food blog a decent bit. Good stuff.

The Spicy Italian is my favorite, but I really miss the Taco sub, which I haven't seen since probably 1996.

I know this deal was on certain sandwiches because I paid almost $7.00 last week for a turkey on italian herb and cheese.

I think the deal started Monday. My girl got a turkey on wheat for $5.

Definitely not ALL subs. Nothing has changed. Deal has been around for AT LEAST 8 months now.

The Subways around me have all the subs for five dollars right now. It's usually only eight of them.
