    What Would You Do(Living Arrangments)

ok so heres the deal, i just transfered to my college of Towson University in Maryland. I live about 30 mins away from the school. And wondering what some of you all would do living wise.

I only go to school on Tuesday-Thursday. I was told i would get into a junior/senior apartment building and was instead put into a freshman co-ed dorm. My roommate is a 17 year old kid with a girlfriend thats over alot. All of his friends from the dorm come over somedays. Im a 22 year old junior transfer, ad i only have 2 really good friends that still go to the school and one of them in a frat and the other one commutes. I have a parking pass and the parking spot is a 15 minute walk from my dorm, and at the place where all my classes are.

My friend that commutes and I are going to get an Apartment next year he just could not afford living expenses this semester cause he studied abroad last semesters

so what would you do if you were in my place..All my classes are easy this semester since i only could do 4 classes within my major since im transferring so i got in all easy classes and go to school from 11-5.

    1. Commute to school every Tuesday and Thursday, and work Monday, Wensday, Friday, and some weekends to get more money for the following semester

    2. Live in the dorm on just Tuesday,Wensday,Thursday and come home thursday after class and work friday-monday

    3. Just live in the dorm and be bored on MWF

now here are some other facts to, ive had heart surgery so im not able to go out and drink and get wasted with people and drink. i also spent 2 year at a real college before i had to get my surgery so ive really had my partying and college experience already.

Stay home, work, and commute. Why room with some tool 17 year old who'll want you to buy booze and crap, then have the sock on the door or whatever when his girl is over so you have to relocate that night anyway.

Plus, you don't have to worry about your **** being stolen by his douchebag friends.

So you're talking 2hrs in a car (30 minutes back & forth twice a week) plus 1hr walking from your park (15 min back & forth twice a week).

      2. Live in the dorm on just Tuesday,Wensday,Thursday and come home thursday after class and work friday-monday
One hour in a car. 30 minutes of walking.

      3. Just live in the dorm and be bored on MWF
Same as #2 if you are planning on coming home on the weekends.

So basically, you're asking is it worth 90 minutes of your time & any money you can earn, to live in a dorm w/a headache of a roommate. Do you see where I'm going here?

What caused you to have heart surgery at such a young age? I'm not trying to be nosy or anything. I'm just curious because my roommate just had heart surgery last year (aortic valve replacement) but he is more than twice your age.

Damn, from Annapolis to Towson? I know that's a drive.

But since it's only twice, I would stay home, work and commute to school on the days you have class.

I played D2 football at college, and started to get dizzy alot at practice and trainers said it was just dehydration, got home for winter break and collapsed while playing basketball, and doctors said it was dehydration and from jan to september when ever i did something active my heart would race like crazy and i would get dizzy all the time

i go meet with cardologist and they give me a device for a month to take an EKG of my heart whenever i felt dizzy or had a rapid heart race....i didnt use it one time cause i was stupid then the last day i had it i recorded myself playing basketball, next morning doctor called and said guess what son "you should be dead right now" then smiled and said well you not you gotta get surgery tho and your be back to normal

i have a defibulator and finally getting my life back to normal...missed a year of school and didnt do nothing and it was very borning, surprising thing is i didnt even play madden, ncaa,or nba that much i just sat on the couch and watched tv with my mom who was laid off of her job at the exact same time frame

i have ike 4 things wrong with me and i dont know the exact words but their liek 20 letters each

Heart problems are scary, especially when football is involved.

I had a good friend at church who was going to play football at Kansas last year. They are one of few schools that makes a big point of checking players' hearts. They found a problem with his heart, luckily all he had to do was not play football and he'd be fine.

I miss understood your OP. That means 2hrs a week to commute. So you're looking @ an extra 30 minutes a week saved by staying in the dorm, minus the money you could make holding down a job. Again, it should be an easy decision, unless you have an unreliable means of transportation.

When I was a frosh my roomate was like 22 and a guy down the hall was like 23.

We became good friends anyways and went out a alot. They also always bought beer.

Anyways it seems like your writing dude off because he is young. He might be a cool guy, grab a case, bring it back, and talk to the kid.

Maybe you will become good buddies.

I'd commute...Hell, I drive about 40-45 mins to work each way 5 days a week.

Anything under an hour is tolerable/normal for most people, but I've known a few who had to drive over an hour...
