So you almost hit a guy one time who happened to be wearing a hood? Damn that's a good reason to hate everyone who wears a hood while driving...

The other day some douchebag in a blue shirt cut me off. I guess all people who wear blue shirts while driving suck ***

^ LOL they don't and I was just joking. For someone wondering why others care how people dress, you sure are posting a lot in this thread.

People stated what they hate and I said I hate that look, pretty simple. Why do I care? I really don't, but I still think it's stupid.

Hmm, and all this time it was people driving that bothered me.

I posted once basically saying it was stupid that you hate it when people where long shorts combined with high socks. Threeking responded saying that when it's detrimental to someone's safety, then it's a problem. I took advantage and made a smartass post. Then you decided to break tos and bring race into it when race had nothing to do with anything that was happening.

When someone accuses a person of being racist, I don't care if your joking or not because in case you haven't noticed it's kind of hard to tell if a person is joking on the internet, it pisses me off.

Well I apologize for offending you with a joke. I reported the thread and myself.

As a wearer of both hoodies while driving and shorts with high socks, I found it hard to determine if it was a joke or not.

LMAO. Do people even read anymore?

When you wear a hoodie in your car, you cut off your peripheral vision.

You want to wear you hoodie and your pants all the way down to your ankles when you're out walking, it's not a big deal. You just look like a dork. When you wear a hoodie while driving, it not only puts you at risk, it puts others at risk.

I was talking about dookie's post about the pants, saying "we have people on here complaining about what people wear."

I was refering to dookie's post, not the hoodie business. It doesn't really matter though, it's done with.

Another thing about wearing hoods. When I do wear my hood I make sure I can see when I turn, etc. The only time it would cause any wreck due to lack of peripheral vision would be if some idiot hit me and I just didn't see him in time to react due to a hood.

That's what I'm getting at. Whether you like it or not, you have to be a defensive driver out there because there are way too many people behind the wheel who shouldn't be.

You're right, normally I never wear a hood whenever there is much traffic. But if it's early in the morning and 20 degrees in my truck, then I tend to wear it.

Either way every driver needs to be watching out.

Some of you should invest in skull caps. They don't affect your peripheral vision, are cheap and do a much better job of keeping your head warm.

I am having a very hard time seeing the other side of this argument. It seems like such a no brainer. While wearing a hood you significantly lower your peripheral vision. Sure, you can get away with doing it, but you are just adding another obstacle to overcome while driving. It just seems like a silly and irresponsible thing to do. Even if you aren't the one out there causing accidents, you lower your chances to avoid them as well.

It's a diagram showing you how much of your vision is cut off while wearing a hood versus not wearing one.
