Driver's Side Rear Window

was freaking SMASHED!! I'm doing pretty good though cause it won't be that much. Just heading to the first automotive glass company to get it repaired. I'm glad that we found something quick. It felt like being robbed almost. Thank goodness our car had nothing important in it. I thought we left the baby seat in there and it got got. Just started racing thoughts in my head about the whole situation. I wish I would have went out there to catch whoever, but then I probably wouldn't be here typing and enjoying the site.

I remember this guy who went through the same situation as I did where his window was broken. It was on the south side of Chicago. Some neighbors said they "knew" who did it. He approached the guy who vandalized his property only to have his funeral the following week. Still remember his face and everything. He was a cool guy. I think he was late 20s or early 30s. That was in the mid-90s when life was something else. Whelp, I'm off to get the repair done. Should take an hour. Hopefully the work is worth it and I don't have to bring the sucker back.

That sucks to hear man. Luckily, I've never been carjacked or had my car vandalised :knocks on wood: and I've put my self in some pretty tough spots. Where did this happen on the southside? 79th? 87th? etc?

And are you still living out around Flossmoor or did you move to the city?

At least the triangular piece of your back window didn't break. I looked around for like a week trying to find someone to fix that piece.

Yeah if I caught someone doing that, I don't know if I could stop myself from hurting him. People just have no respect for other people's stuff and just think as long as it doesn't happen to me, I don't care if I do it to someone else.

Some douche smashed the front corner window on my car one night and broke into the car.

They stole some change from the ashtray and a few CD's (which were just burnt copies of my mp3's anyway) and that was about it. It cost me about $80 to get a guy to come replace the window so it wasn't that expensive but it was more the inconvenience that annoyed me.
