Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
From their FAQ: If the demand is present, why won’t Yuengling enter more states?
Yuengling is a regional brewery that has manufacturing facilities in Pottsville, PA, and Tampa, FL. It simply is not logistically feasible to transport beer outside of our current footprint.
Yuengling is proud to have had ongoing expansions over the past years. The current focus is on those loyal customers that we currently supply. Continuing to provide quality beer and service to meet the existing demand is what the Yuengling family values above growing territory.
Sucks for us west of the Mississippi who really like their beer. I believe Fat Tire used to have the same business model before expanding nationwide.Comment

And I get that but it isn't like Florida and LA are far apart.Comment

Had this a few nights ago. Even though the reviews scores were somewhat low I thought it was fantastic. I'm middle of the road Bourbon guy but I think this beer pulled off that little hint of bourbon very well. It definitely goes down smooth.

They were about to go IPO and the estimated value was something like $200 million. A billion dollars is insane for me. The Scripps Ranch location is my favorite one. Really mellow there. We went to their new location in Temecula this weekend it's nice but it just doesn't have the same vibe.
On your next trip out here Belching Beaver may have their new location up and running. They bought an old bank and kept the vault. The vault is climate controlled and they are going to use it for special tastings.

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
I had a Guinness for the first time last night. It was poured properly with the fancy tap, into a Guinness glass.
Easily the most over-hyped beer on the face of the earth. Watered down junk. I didn't know the ABV was the same as a light beer. Maybe if I had known that I could have expected it to taste like water.Comment

Having Tröegs Nugget Nectar
*edit* Wow, this a VERY well balanced beer...You have the piney, hoppy citrus hops up front, but also a sweet malty finish. DAMN impressed!Attached FilesLast edited by Motown; 03-25-2016, 08:29 PM.Comment

Well its a pretty hyped up beer, and there is the whole proper way to pour a Guiness thing. Made the Temptress I had last night that much better!Comment
