    Former Employee in Legal Battle After Stepping in to Help Female Customer Under Attack

    McDonald's worker Nigel Haskett was shot on the job in August 2008 and hailed as a hero. Now the restaurant's insurance company won't pay his medical bills.

    The insurance company is right. Under the law, that was not part of his job and they don't have to pay him.

    To fix it since they don't want to pay, the girlfriend should sue McDonald's. She could win a trial and get enough money to take care of all his medical bills. Then the insurance company would have to pay even more than if they just pay the medical bills.

      His injury wasn't work related,so I can see why they don't want to give him anything.
