I work near there.. its exactly near where me and matrix talk about the traffic. Take a short ride and you'll see Shaq's truck I took pics of.

There is an in and out burger not far near UCLA you should check out

What do you really need to know though

Just curious if there is anything cool that I wouldn't know just by walking around. Any gyms, places that have musical shows, movie theatres, etc...

Now that I'm hooked on SF...if there are any arcades, lol.

I don't know if there are arcades but you're near some pretty fun stuff. Westwood is packed with things to do. There are restaurants, theaters, etc. Plus, UCLA's obviously right there, so you have basketball games if you want to go. If you want some pretty healthy and fast food, go to Zankou Chicken on Santa Monica Blvd and Sepulveda. It's a Middle-Eastern/Armenian rotisserie chicken and shawerma place. Much better to eat that than other crap. Although I have to say, that location is absolutely awful compared to the ones in Tarzana and Hollywood (different ownership).

There's Century Plaza Mall right by Beverly Glen/Santa Monica Blvd. Tons of shops there. Also, if you continue down Beverly Glen and make a right onto Pico, there is a mall there too. You're not far from Beverly Center either, which is a pretty decent sized mall with a whole bunch of stuff.

You're not far from Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica (just head west on Wilshire or any big street), where there are tons of shops, restaurants, street performers, homeless people who beg you for money, etc

To the East, you have tons of Hollywood crap. Tons of theaters, clubs, bars, etc. If you want the "nicer" restaurants, you can head this way and run into Beverly Hills, Century City, West Hollywood, although I've never been blown away by any one place here.

I dunno what else.

Meet some of California's Finest and see if they got anything on NY's Finest and I don't mean the police either lol.

But i'm actually looking to visit LA this summer for like a week just to get out of DC so i'll probably either use this thread or ask ya'll some of the same questions Born is asking. :-))

I'm right near Sunset Blvd and Beverly Glen. Very close to that weird mall from the future. It has a movie theater and the "Pink Taco", which is surprisingly a Taco place, and not a euphemism for female genitalia.
