Why Don't Arenas/Stadiums Supply Tops To The Beers That They Serve Folks?

Went to the Wizards game last night vs ATL. Man fools were spilling beers all over the damn place. I always wondered why tops aren't supplied.

    Too much $ wasted?

Someone has to know the answer
    Concrete evidence/videos please

They don't give us caps to our bottled water at Penn State football games. I always assumed it was because you could throw that caps... or that it would be too much small trash to pick up.

Putting tops on beers would cost extra $$ that they don't want to spend, more waste, and having a top on a beer is just kinda weird (the head is supposed to breathe.. not sure I've ever seen a top on a beer unless it was unopened). And yeah, they don't allow tops on water bottles or anything else sold at the games because you can put the top on and chuck the half-full bottle/cup onto the court... without the top, it would only fly so far and all the liquid would spill out before it could nail anyone or make it to the floor.

But yeah, it is annoying to get beer spilled on you or your stuff because someone doesn't sip the top off so that they can walk. Just drink a bit of it on your way back to the seats and there shouldn't be a problem with spilling all over the place... people (especially drunk ones at sporting events) are just kinda inconsiderate in general though, so that doesn't surprise me.

            The solution is easy.

            Sippy cups.

It's just in case the idiot drunk fans decide to throw the bottles. With no cap on, most of the liquid should spill out if you throw it. Better being hit in the head by and empty water bottle than a full one.
