I'm just over 6 years. Joined looking for some info on NCAA 2003 and immediately got hooked. Didn't post a lot and had a ******** screenname before changing to the one I have now. This is the only message board I post on regulary...I'll occassionally post on Cougfan but that's it.

OS is like my internet home.

And Cougfan has turned into crap over the last few years and makes me thankful for OS that much more.

I've only been an "official" member since 2006. but before I join i browsed the forums here and there for about 2 years, mainly for info on NCAA and other sports games. finally decided to create an account in '06. I wasn't much of a forum "speaker" before. I've posted more here at OS than all the other forums I've ever been at combined.

I was around before the switch to the current boards and everyone had to re-register, in like July 2002. I'm pretty sure I've been @ OS since mid-2001, because I remember talking about 9/11 here.

That makes it 7, almost 8 years ago. I'm 21 now. I've spent around a third of my life as a member of this site.

Yeah I was just a kid when I joined. I'm 18 now, can't remember what year I joined, but I remember only creating an account because it was the only way I could view the forums. I remember before that when I could lurk without a User Name.. I guess I'll find out the year after I post...

Edit: Yup, March 2003. Exactly 6 years. I was 12 when I first joined this site.

I came after a visit to the 2k site (gaaawd that was awful) and someone mentioned the OS... I came and never left and saw some great information and great debates based on more than. youuuuu succcckkkk...LOLOL

I originally signed up at OS back in late 2001 as a lurker under the "orange skin" days.

It was basically just a forum with a small presence but I knew I'd hit gold when I saw the discussion about some of the things that I'd been thinking about sports games. I had never seen/heard anyone else as devoted to sports and video gaming (in my mind) as myself until I found OS.

As the forums and site were upgraded of course, we all had to re-register and that leads to my join date of Summer 2002. Since that day, with the exception of a rough patch in my life circa 2003/2004, I have relied on this site as a constant in my life.

I too remember so many of the "originals", if you will. I guess if I look back ... in reality most of those guys are gone or their presence is greatly diminished.

So many cool people I've met and continue to leave an impression on me. Originally I had some great conversations with Bacardi (Eddie), TCrouch (Terry), bkrich (Brian), sdrotar (Shawn), Rusted Walleye (Dale), Clay_OS (Clay), Fossen (Mark), Nivek (Kevin), fsquid (??), Fetter21, injunwal, Shredder, TMskillz (LOL), acid, nickb, and many others that I am regrettably forgetting right now.

I've had some amazing conversations with so many of these guys that they may not remember, but I always will. Then guys like Extreme Gamer, Sully, and plenty more that I am forgetting became regulars and made the site even better.

I remember some epic Link 2004 tournaments, Rainbow Six 3, NBA Inside Drive, NFL 2K5, and NCAA Football 2005. So many good times.

I know for many, this trip down memory lane is annoying, but I sometimes need perspective in regards to OS and where the site has come from and where it is now.

More recently I've made and re-made some good friendships with Auburn Alumni, jstewaat, mniner, bluengold34, Kodiak OS, and Mason81Ballin!!!.

If there is one thing I could request, it would be a list of every user that has changed screen names somewhere on the site. So many guys are changing names these days that I don't know who is who anymore. It'd be great for the OS old timers to be able to association some of the old posters with their original S/N.

Damn..I've been here for six. Makes me feel old. I stumbled upon this site one day while cutting class at UofL to do homework. Damn, I feel old. But at least I'm not as old as AA.

Yes, its been awhile. I can't even remember how I found this site, but its damn near almost 5 years.
