So many give me the excuse ohh I just got out of a relationship, I don't want to rush into anything or really look for one. Okay, so change your profile to finding friends only, I call them out, and they ignore me. There's nothing wrong with that. Not everyone is on there to jump feet first into an exclusive relationship.

Nothing, it's their immediate response to me.

I'd send them a message, ask them a few things bout themselves, and most of them that do respond tend to go, well I'm not looking for a relationship despite it being listed in their profile.

No. Back when I was single and on online dating sites I never put much stock into what their relationship status said. Well, as long as it didn't say married anyway.

I feel like if you're calling them out on it, you're going about it all wrong.

Okay we need to start up a points system and be keeping score to see who is the OS OKCupid champion. Maybe a point for a date, 2 points for a second date, 5 points if you "close the deal", 8 if it turns into a relationship, 10 for getting engaged, 20 for married. I'm sure all of us here re comfortable with the honor system. And at the end of 2013 we'll decide our winner? Of course these are the kind of bets that always get guys in trouble in those movies and tv shows.

I think it depends on where you value the relationship. If you're just dating, getting to know each other, then I think it's fine and no one can really argue it. That's the point of dating, right?

There aren't many matches in my area to begin with, then when I eliminate those with kids the pickings get real slim.
