Even if I'm doing something super easy like going to the store, I have to mentally prepare myself and I'm always afraid I'll do something wrong. I'm never late to class because I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I walked in late and couldn't find a seat. Just little stupid scenarios like that are holding me back from so much right now and I just don't know what to do.

It's hard for me to make new friends because I'm always very uncomfortable talking to new people and I always make a terrible first impression by not introducing myself or something just because the words won't come out. People just assume I'm kind of an ******* because of that but not very many people really know me and I've never talked to anyone about this but it's really affecting my life right now.

I'm going to talk to a therapist next Wednesday, so that's a good place to start.
    Sounds eeirily familiar...

I have an anxiety disorder that is caused by mild autism and it gets treated. Sports Video games are a stress reliever for me, and I cannot be stressed in a sports video game, which is why I am not all that sim and I cannot play with bad teams if I don't want to be stressed. I can't get stressed being a sports fan either, so that's why my sports allegiances are subject to change. I do not follow teams that stress me out, which is why I quit following in a bad season or quit watching in a bad game. Stress is really bad for me.

I don't know if it was related but I had a weird dream last night. It wasn't even a creepy dream or anything, but I thought about it in the shower and it made me very uneasy and depressed for reason. I started to feel a little bit dizzy so I closed my eyes and the next thing I know I'm on (or think I was) the bathroom floor and the shower is turned off. It made me uneasy because I know I've had this dream a few times before and I just realized it in the shower or something.

I'm not sure it's related to the issues I've been having but that's the only time I've ever had something like that happen to me. Could this have been a panic attack or something?

I don't think that was a panic attack.

I don't either anymore, I'm not sure what it was, could have just been exhaustion but I've never had that feeling before.

It might have been a fainting spell or something. I can promise you though lol, a panic attack is much different.

                2017 bump.

I've been battling depression, Adhd and mood disorders for about 8 years now. I didnt know until last year what I had been dealing with. Started in college and I'd drink and smoke to numb the pain but that only prolonged it and made things worse.
Days have been a lot brighter since I kicked my smoking habit, started to eat better and exercise more. It's still a very tough deal to live with. I've went from being an everyday smoker(420) for 5 years to maybe 3-4 days in the last two months with a goal to not smoke a thing in 2017.

I am optimistic that there is light at the end of the tunnel for all who suffer with these anxiety/depression disorders. Just wanted to share. Peace.

Yep. Diagnosed but never treated. When I was diagnosed I was in a deep deep depression, and they wanted to treat that more than my anxiety. Since then, I've lost my parents' health insurance and lost access to my psych doctors and therapist. Luckily, the ACA saved me and got me limited coverage, but I haven't been back to them and luckily have been okay since (yay for somehow finding someone awesome to marry). When I get married and get on the NJ State Health plan, I'll see if I can either go back to my old psychiatrist or find a new one and see if I can get my anxiety in check.

My wife used to suffer from this but manages it with medication. It wasn't severe but there would be times when she would really freak out/worry about things for a period of time and get really sad. She also would get nervous about things often.

Medication and support works best. She is doing much better the past few years in managing this.
