Re: anybuddy in here wear contacts
I used to wear contacts, in fact I wore both hard and soft lenses for differing periods of time. I eventually had to stop wearing them as I'd wake up with a lot of pain in my eyes in the mornings.
As for your question, yeah, if I left them on too long my eyes would burn and get very irritated.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: anybuddy in here wear contacts
Nope. My just make my eyes feel "heavy" in the evening. My opto also told me extended wear or not, you should never sleep with contacts, just take 'em out at night, and back in in the A.M.
I've got veins in my eyes for sleeping with them for many years, it is reversible though, and I no longer do it.Comment

Re: anybuddy in here wear contacts
It usually happens to me daily, but I think it's also partially because I stare at the computer screen for a couple hours with them in, which isn't very good.

I never sleep in them. Never have a problem w/them unless there is dirt, debris on them.Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.
Thanks, dookies!Comment

Re: anybuddy in here wear contacts
I sleep with them in because I'm under the impression that I'm wearing a pair of contacts that I'm allowed to. The issue is that evidently I sleep with my eyes at least slightly open (I feel like this started when I began wearing contacts) and it sucks waking up during the middle of the night and trying to close my eyes over dry contacts.
If I keep them in much longer than the month I'm allowed for disposables things get bad, like I can't keep my eyes open in sunlight.Comment

Re: anybuddy in here wear contacts
I got them last August. I wore them a little bit, but they too burned a lot, and it took forever to get them in. I didn't want to wear them for sports because sometimes they randomly fell out if I accidentally rubbed my eye or something. I didn't wear them for awhile then wore them a couple days now and then. I wore them a couple days in December and was staying at a friend's house and I borrowed some solution and my eyes burned really bad, and I haven't worn them again. They are actually kinda nice though if you could get the hang of them.Comment
