I dipped for over 10 years, 99% of the time it was Copenhagen Long Cut. Quit 2 years ago. I still miss it from time to time but will never do it again.

Never tried it and never will. Mainly because when I was little I seen a Pepsi can and thought it was my dads Soda and took a drink of it. Needless to say it was his spit can.

In HS the football seniors would all dip into Nestea bottles and then leave them around the locker room hoping naive freshman would take a sip. Needless to say some green frosh fell for it on more than one occasion.

Everyone keeps saying that in this thread and I am in no way promoting the use of tobacco. But do any of you on this board know nyone who dipped and then died of oral cancer?
I for one do not, my step father and all 5 of his brothers dipped or chewed and they are all in therr 60's now and dont have oral cancer. I really think from the time we are little people push is down our throats that if you dip or chew you will die of cancer! Dont get me wrong it can happen but I think the % of people that dip and then develop cancer is alot smaller then they want us to believe.

Sounds exactly like me. I started my Sr. year of high school during baseball practice. I dipped Skoal Wintergreen then. I moved onto Kodiak and then Copenhagen fine cut as long cut was not available yet. Once Copenhagen long cut came out, I stuck with that throughout college and my first few years working (never at work...only after). In college I'd go through approximately a can a day and once working I'd probably have 2 dips at night.

I quit about 3 years ago because my gums started to recede a bit. Nothing really bad, but they did get sore when I'd dip too much. The only time I really miss it is when I'm playing video games and golfing, but I also will never do it again.
