I bought a PS3 and had The Show and Killzone 2. Before that, I was either playing Left for Dead, COD 4 or COD WaW.

I started playing The Show, then I really got into KZ 2, so much, that I haven't played a any other game in about two weeks, yet I have so many fun games, I was yet burned out on.

Yes, always. Anytime I pick up my basketball or football fix, no other game gets touched for months. My brothers and I just start a franchise with 3 different teams and fight to see who ends up on top at the end of the season.

I tend to do that sometimes.

Sometimes I even buy a new game, play it for an hour, and go right back to some sports game I have a dynasty/franchise in.

I was like this a lot last gen, when I played more sports games. This generation, I've gotten back into other types of games a little more and I'm not seeing it happen as much. Part of it is that my only sports games are NCAA Football 09 and CH2K8. My roommate and I have a Dynasty going in NCAA Football but he's been so busy that he hasn't played a game in two weeks, so that's stalled out. Otherwise I'd be playing that a lot more. And then I do play College Hoops every so often, but I probably won't get back into that too much until next season.

Now that I'm starting to build up a good collection of games I really don't get stuck on one too often. When I got the system a couple months ago and didn't have too many games, I got hooked on Uncharted and that was pretty much all I played for a week. Granted, it's such a great game that that might have happened anyhow. But between the variety of games I have since purchased, from LittleBigPlanet to Guitar Hero World Tour, along with the inexpensive but addicting games from the PSN Store, I now have plenty of choices to bounce between. When I eventually pick up The Show I will probably spend a lot of time on that, though.

I have played no game but RTTS mode in The Show for 2 months. I have MGS4, Far Cry 2, and COD WOW still to beat. I haven't even thought about buying or playing a new game during this spand. To be honest though I got so worn out of 1st person shooters that I was ready to spend time away from the genre for awhile. KZ2 or FNR4 will probably be my next purchase.

This usually happens in sports games for me too. Right now it's NBA 2k9. I haven't played much of anything since it came out. I pretty much only buy games to hold me over until football or basketball season starts back up again.

When I bought MGS4, I wouldn't put it down until I finished it. Got on a Friday and finished it Saturday nite -22 hours straight.

For eight years, the only PC game I played (i.e. I still played console games, but no other PC games) was Duke Nukem 3D. I got really into level editing and spent a lot of time modifying the game beyond the released version, and it was just a REALLY fun game.

happens to me ALLLL the time dookie... thats why i stopped buying so many games, i felt like i was just wasting money.

Right now im playing nba 2k9 and The show... and sometimes i throw in skate 2

PP, I didn't know you were on the FIFA like that. I know you started posted in the footy forum but I might have to jump on one day and wax that a**, no homo of course.

I've been grinding on FIFA lately because the matches take no more than ~20 mins to play where CH2K8 takes up to an hour and the same for NCAA/Madden when they were out.

Every once in a while I throw in Tomb Raider but FIFA has been getting all the burn lately.

I have a horrible gaming attention span. That's why I'm loving GF, even if it takes a while to get games sometimes. I can play Killzone and Riddick for a week, have fun, then get bored and not feel bad because I bought them and got bored.

It's horrible. When I was a kid I could play a game for months, now I'm lucky if it lasts a month, online gaming aside.

I'm definitely like that, I will get really obsessed with one game for about 2 weeks to a month, then switch to another game and repeat. While I'm playing one game I rarely play another game, unless I'm hanging out with some of my friends or playing a different game against my brother.

I don't play many, but I will get caught up on RPG's. Oblivion, Mass Effect and Fallout 3 took nearly all of my gaming time when I played them.
I spent nearly 200 hours on Oblivion. I ended up selling it to stop playing. But I recently picked up the GOTY edition to play the expansions.

Wow I got to do a flash back moment for this topic......so many great games I played over the past 25 years.

I know back in the day during the 1980s it was Tecmo Bowl.

During the 1990s it was Civilization series, Starcraft series and the Command & Conquer series.

For the PS2 Socom 2 was my life LOL. That game got the most game playing time for me.

Nowadays it is a seasonal thing for me. Come June it be NCAA football for that summer until Madden comes out. Then it be those 2 games until NBA 2K comes out in October.

From October to January NBA 2K9 good lord was played constantly. I didn't even take that disc out at all until Skate 2 came out, then started playing the Lost & Damned a little.

For most of February and April it was just MLB The Show. Every once in a while I will pop in Fifa.

A year ago I was all up Call of Duty 4. Don't really care for the latest COD, it don't seem as good as 4 to me.

For the most part sports games and military warfare type games get the most play from me.
