    Job Staffing Agencies?

Its been nearly a year since I got my degree in finance. Since I got the degree I have not been able to find anything in the investment banking/analyst/trading arena.

I have submitted my resume to every staffing agency I can find, however I havent got any replies.

Is there a secret to using these agencies?

I'm losing my mind, not getting on my career track. And the juice is running on the loan for my undergrad degree.

Try to follow up with them a few days later after they received your resume via phone.

Ask if they received your resume. Once they transfer you over to someone that has your resume or is working with it, ask them if they can tell how your background fits the needs of their clients.

Tell them you would like to spend 30 minutes of their time to meet with them for any opportunities that might come up now or in the future.

Bad time to really find a career, for the most part. Some of the interviews my mom has gone for (project manager), they've had over 300 people interviewing for a single job.

I have a finance degree from a good school and now I'm a cop! Shows how the economy is.

Bottom line: you need to find a temp to hire job or know somebody. All the entry level jobs are going to people with experience because these companies don't have time & money to waste on training somebody new.

Well the one thing we got going for us is the turnover thats about to happen over the next 10 years with a rapidily aging workforce.

Dude how's the cop thing going? you enjoying it?

Some days I wish I went that route. BTW, my company bought the company that probably makes your gunbelt, vest, and all the other cop accesories you have.

I was just at their plant watching them test fire in to bullet proof vests.
