Every once in awhile this thread comes up. New podcast come up all the time so I was wondering if y'all got any good ones that you recommend.
I'll start. The Charlie Hodge Haltime Show. Available on Itunes. He is the 3rd wheel of the KLBJ AM A.M. Morning show here in Austin (an Austin institution for over 15 years). Although he has pretty much become the only reason to listen to that show anymore. The station now gives him his own hour from noon to 1:00. It is only a matter of time before he becomes the morning drive guy.
He is crazy! His show is sprayed with tons of 80's, early 90's references ( I think he is 32 years old.) He does a few imitations, not that they're particularly accurate but they are very funny. It moves very fast, not a linear show as he goes off on tangents regularly. Finally, you don't need to be an Austinite to understand, it isn't an "inside" show. Plus, for some reason the group Rush sends him rare/b-sides never heard before, or new material before it is available anywhere else. Give it a shot...hell, it's free!
