And how did they aline something they couldnt fly up to see if its right. If their math is that accurate how come they were to dumb to write it down. Again from the ground you dont realize you just walked past a strip of land thats apart of these lines. The lines are massive. Its not rocks piled on top of each other. So not so easy to make not to mention.... whats the point? Why would they make them?

Crop circles are no where near the scale of these lines. Not to mention we know why the crop circles were made, so please tell me why people decided to do this massive effort. With not just one pictue, but a few.
So i guess your telling me people just decided to do this for what?

I didnt say it isnt that they couldnt make them (the prymids they couldnt) i want to know why they made them. But to think that back in those times they just woke up one day and said.... were gonna put a monkey on the ground for the gods to enjoy. Its going to to more massive then we can comprehend. Its going to be so large we cant see the pictue even if we climb that mountain...... Theres more to the story. To dismis it as "my 3 yr old can draw that" or "Guys have made crop circles" is pretty short sited IMO. I dont expect you to agree with me but please come with something more logical than that. I really like to find good logic to dismiss alien thoeries. If i said to you OMG i saw a crop circle i could understand your response. Putting crop circles with ancient monuments (it is a monument it is just made form the ground) is not even relevent. If you feel it is then we can agree to disagree.
Why did they do it.....My guess would be because they wanted their gods to see it. Pretty much every religion has believed their gods were in the sky. Why did they make them that big? Because thats human nature to make the biggest that you could.

On top of this, I don't think we give the ancient civilizations as much credit as they deserve. Look at their calendars and architecture, they all had a high level of mathematics. Its not out of the realm of possibility that they could have built gliders. And with a comprehension of wind currents, etc, got them to soar to a height high enough to see these things. The giant condors inhabited a wide range of South America, Central America, North America. Pretty much a gliding bird. They may have studies that and been able to achieve some sort of flight.

I still don't see how you can use the word "precise" when describing this monkey...

They are also precise enough its hard to believe they decided to make a picture for the gods and produce such accuracy. Since you seem to always bring the other side of things, im wondering what you think of that kind of stuff. Sure humans can pick up rocks and put them in stright lines, but to form the accurate pictures they do seems very odd to me.
We talked about that in a class I had a few years ago. Some of those drawings corresponded to water flow underground, and some of them are probably religious ****.

I doubt an alien race just said "Make us a got dayme lizard on the ground or we'll take your cookies"

You take that word precise wrong. They get the picture across which is my point. And now your more in a discussion which is what i was looking for. I dont want to go saying aliens had a part in them, i just wanted to talk about it. Really you just took precise to far. Bad word choice on my part but still. You can tell they arent random lines and for the most part they stay the same width. But then really, how precise would you like them to get it?

Then i think you give them to much credit. You start talking about people gliding. Thats fine (Egyptions understood lift for flying) but i dont think people actually flew(glided). The chance is there, but im sure it would have been recorded. Then when you talk about thier calenders and architecture, i really dont think they could do it. Im not discounting the possibilitybut seems a strech. For them to have this advanced math, but unable to record it, and we cant duplicate these things with modern tech, thats why i like to look deeper and not just accept what seems easy.

However thats not to say you dont have good points. Just because i look at it different and disagree doesnt mean anything. In fact im ok with most of the world not understanding my point. It usually takes to much time to try to explain it (ugh see how long this post is).

Part of me does think it had to do with religion. But i have certin feeling towards religions that i cant get into here. Either way imo it could only be gods or aliens that could see that, unless your right about flight.

Basicly we were debating how precise they were. Yes by definition of precise they are not, so i was wrong with that word but you get the point.

Water flow underground.... That would be something i hadnt thought of. This is the point, i learn better from people.

And yes the bolded part is probably true.

I guess i shoulda made a thread that asked if people think humans could have really built the pyramid(s). Either way The lines in the ground are odd. We dont KNOW why they used them. Religious seems likely and people have made their points so im not gonna dwell on it. Theres lots of odd things done by ancient civs so im not gonna focus to much on this one.

At least i got some different view points and learned something Lol.

          .
As far as not giving ancient civilizations too much credit.....Ponder this. The Wright brothers took flight in 1903. 66 Years later, people are landing on the moon. Look what happens in 66 years when people make a concerted effort.

Now imagine a plage came through the world and killed off everyone except for 1,000 people deposited in a field somewhere. We still have our knowledge, but all of our records were destroyed. How long do you think it would take to get back to where we are now? How many things that we have now would never get "re-invented". Thats with people who have seen the technology of today.

I think we fail to realize how great some of these past civilations may have been. Who knows all the knowledge they possessed. Just like if we were whiped out down to a thousand people. It would be centuries before there was television again, if ever at all.

And that is the kind of logic i was looking for. Not much to say about it. Thats part of the reason i say the average person has useless knowledge today. Good points. Since i like to hear all kind of theroies i have to bounce them off people to remind me of the other sides logic.

However, i still keep an open mind because we only think we understand their art on the walls. Sometimes we overlook more of the story and sometimes we look to far into things. I always like to listen to both sides making good points without pushing blind favortism.

And while i could argue some of those points, it would be spilting hairs or focusing on a word choice. The logic is pretty sound. But iv heard some really sound logic toward other things that i cant remember enough to bring up. Thats the kind of logic i opened this thread for.
