High School Reunions?

So how many of you go to yours? Why? or Why not.

Class of '89 here. I went to my 10 year and had a pretty good time. I liked it. Now our 20 year is coming up in July. I don't know, I thought I would be more excited about it than I am. Is it normal to lose interest?

One thing I think that is playing a big factor is one of our HS buddies just got hitched last year and pretty much most of the old gang was there. I think that kinda blew the suspense off of this reunion.

I just don't know if I care to spend a night at a ritzy hotel in a suit making small talk, pretending to be interested in your kids band recital, trying not to notice how much fatter you got.

I had my 5 year last summer....I didn't hear about it until 2 weeks after it happened

Yeah a 20 year reunion if you already went to the 10 year seems like it'd be pointless. I'd say it's only logical that you aren't as excited as you were about the 10 year.

Haven't went to one yet.

Wasn't close with that many people in my actual class to start off with and even at the 20 year mark that just passed a few years back...it seems it's more about bragging.

Might go to a 50 year just to see who's still kicking.

I find the idea that the last two people left alive in the class should meet every year to see who's going to win kind of humorous.

Anyways, I really doubt I'll ever go to one. The people I hang out with don't go to my school(most are out of HS anyways), so I couldn't see myself ever going to one. I'm guessing there are no other reasons to go, are there?

I wouldn't mind going to a 5 year one. It's been 5 years since I graduated [04].

Seems like a prime spot to work your way into smashing the chick[s] you always wanted to in HS.

I can also imagine girls would be down as well. Everyone would be in their primes age wise.

Never been to one. I have my 15 year in 2010, but I probably won't go.

The people from HS that I wanted to keep in touch with, I have. Those that I didn't care to keep in touch with, I haven't. I graduated with approximately 550 students so I didn't even know most of my class!

I've got my 10 year reunion next year and i'll prob go. I'm still friends with 4 dudes and 2 chicks from my senior year so i'll have some people to go with. My main reason for going to is to see how some of the freaks in my class turned out but i guess most of the weird ones might not go.

I went to my 10 year (Class of '92).. Wasn't really thrilled with it at all -- really because the people I hung out with weren't there (one of my hSbuds I found out died, another I lost touch with after he moved to WV after graduation, etc..) and it had that "HS clique" feel to it...

Yeah 2010 will be my 20 and when I went to my 17. We had a small school. So we had one with 87,88,89,90. It was pretty cool. Billie Joe Armstrong showed up. It was pretty funny watching everybody flock over him. Then I started laugning, becasue these are the same people that were friends with him in Highschool. What is the big difference now. He is still Billie Joe. People and stars crack me up. I told him it must be weird. He said he is used to it. I will go to my 20th if he have one. I always like seeing what all the hot girls in High School look like now. Some are still cute and some are OLD! Life is funny.

Yeah one of my friends died too. I was shocked when I found out at the reunion. His heart stop. He was only 36 too. Shocked us all.
