I think they ask you those questions expecting you not to know everything about those subjects, but maybe a little bit and the test measures how well you use your limited knowledge on those subjects to make an informed guess.

I have no idea what the damned thing was but when I was a freshman in college a psych major who was dating my buddy gave us a test for some research paper she was doing.
It took two hours and had the most insane and inane questions.

I took the MAT ten years ago when applying to Grad School. I thought it was defnitely challenging. Being a Math major I had more trouble with the more sophisticated vocabulary and did well on the constructural relationships.
I have heard and I honestly believe that like a 30% or better is passing and will thus get you in.Congratulations BUTLER BULL DOGS!
