Why are these people not in jail themselves?

Well.....let's keep in mind that this is CNN reporting. So anything is possible.

lol this is not a new story, CNN is actually late to report on it. CNN is actually fairly unbiased compared to liberal MSNBC and Conservative Fox.

But The Mayor and the Sheriff should both be Arrested, They are Dirtbags.

        I'm torn.

On one hand, this is messed up by the sheriffs.

On the other hand, nobody is convincing me that these folks had tens of thousands to buy a car cash money.

People tend not hand over legal money.

I have a hard time believing this also. If I had that much money, I'm making my phone call and getting a lawyer. Then I wouldn't stop until these criminals are in jail. It makes me think that most of the people were probably illegals, didn't speak english, or didn't get the money legally. They also could just be dumb.

I would own the town if they pulled me over.

I thought about some of the same issues too. But the fact remains, its not up to the sheriffs to play jury. They weren't doing it for justice's sake.

Living in this part of Texas for 18 years, I've encountered these police, as well as others in the area, and I can say that they're almost entirely scum bags. These "officers" are far more criminal than most of the people they arrest. I'm not from Tenaha, but live about 15 miles from it in a bigger town. I've seen innocent people get beaten and hand-cuffed by these officers for ridiculous reasons.

This has been going on in Tenaha and other East Texas towns for years. This is just one of the many examples of humans being robbed of their justice by scum.

The sad part is, a lot of the city officials support these criminals. Also, there is zero chance I would hand over my belongings to Barry Washington from some B.S. threat. Take me to prison, but I won't help you abuse my rights.

I remember seeing something on dateline or similar show a few years ago about the state troopers in an area either in Texas or Louisiana stopping all out of town cars because they know they wouldn't fight it because they would have to comeback. It was so bad that they said don't drive on the interstate and to just avoid the state altogether.

                    No.

What I'm saying is the sheriffs should be arrested, but the drug dealers they robbed shouldn't be treated as some unfortunate victims.
