False advertisement in commercials are getting out of hand

Anybody else notice the extreme amount of commercials that claim to make you lose weight or enhance you in some type of way. It seems like every other day there is a new company with a new product claiming to do it.

Let us start with the Flirty Girl workout. Where you swing around a stripper pole and dance provocatively in order to burn off the pounds. Get real ! Who they think they fooling ? If a woman is obese or just a bbw, she can't swing around a pole, nor can her body move like the skinny women bodies in the exercise video.

I even seen a Dancing with the Stars exercise video last week. Dancing like them will make you lose 10 pounds a week and it is fun ! I laughed so hard when I seen that commercial.

It has to be over 20 dance exercise videos out now. From hip hop abs to flrity girl to striptease excercise video. Pretty much it is the same thing as flirty girl, only you dancing with a chair throughout the exercise video.

Then you have post-a-vac commercial. Attaching your stuff to a vaccum hose ? LOL. I can't believe people buy that crap. Why use a vaccum hose when your wife or girlfriend is right there next to you ??? She can do the same thing for free and 100 times better & more effective.

Then you have all the yogurt diets, fruit diets, organic diets, fish only diets, rice diets. Drink a half of cup of vinegar mixed with water diets. Please......give me a break.

And don't get me started with the Extendze commercials. People just messing their bodies up with all that junk.

I like when they tell me...

    "To BEWARE of imitators!!"

Like Frank Caliendo is dangerous or something.

In all honesty, if people are dumb enough to believe some of these outrageous claims, they deserve to get ripped off. Yeah, I know that they can take advantage of people who are in a desperate state of mind with respect to their problem, but people need to exercise a little common sense once in awhile also. If getting a six-pack came down to merely wrapping a vibrating strap around your torso, wouldn't everyone be ripped? But that's just my opinion.

Exactly! It's like all those informercials for Bow-Flex. They lead you to believe that just from doing the exercises that everyone will look like Lou Ferrigno.

They do an excellent job of exploiting the fact that everyone is looking for instant gratification these days. We want it all and we want it now! No one wants to work for it anymore. I remember a line of script John Facenda used to describe a football team in an NFL Films documentary...they have the Roman appetite for victory, but lack the Spartan will to sacrifice for it.
