It's a dumb little game that when played right can provide some mild amusement. When my old partners in crime and me played it on vacation in Florida, I collected 6 umbrellas and about twenty bucks without freaking out or anything. Just calmly explain you think there was a mix up, point to something unique to the umbrella(bent spoke) and some people start apologizing and handing over their umbrella. Or buy it off you.

Dumb but better than just being bored.
