I would guess a little over two years. I use to hang out on IGN and one day this Steve - OS guy, asked me if I wanted to help out his site. I had spent time at the site before and loved the idea of a True Video Sports Gaming web site.
BDoughty: You claim to live your life the same way Spock would. How does that help you in the real world? Does the Vulcan death grip work on the ladies?
I aspire to be as logical as Spock, but yet somehow have human emotions, it's definitely a struggle. Logic and no emotion tend to annoy people in the real world so I enjoy the power it has in some areas of my life. Hasn't really helped in the business world since the corporate world and logic have very little in common. The death grip is nowhere near as effective as the Vulcan Mind Meld.
BDoughty: What sports teams do you follow? Do you have a favorite sport?
I am a Chicago fan except for the White Sox. I am a true Cubs fan, not one of those bandwagon jumping, don't even know there is a game going on losers, that populate Wrigley lately. Bears, Bulls and BlackHawks are my teams, I root for them no matter what.
College is tough, My Utah State Aggies have a pretty good basketball team, but they are hurting in Football. I follow the local Illinois schools but wouldn't say I am a big fan of any of them.
BDoughty: Tell us about the Cook family?
I have 3 sisters and a brother, over 20 nieces and nephews, and a Girlfriend. Lots of my ancestors were Quakers, so that might explain my anti war stance, well that and logic.
BDoughty: Other then sports gaming, do you have an hobbies?
I love to read, I like to read a variety of stuff, from Fiction to History. Try to expand my horizons by reading as much as possible.
I also still kind of collect baseball cards, have been doing so since 1969.
Bike Riding.
Debate is another of my hobbies.
Next weeks interview is a doubletake. UBBCode interviews Brent and Brent interviews UBBCode.
