Re: Free Root Beer Floats @ Sonic
Man those 2 suck. I live in between both. Terrible food. Not taking a shot at Sonic, only the 2 in my area.
I have heard COUNTLESS people who were excited to see it open, HATE IT. Just something about the service and quality of food. People have told me the ones further south are much better. I have tried here at least 5 times and the food is just awful. If i didnt have so many people saying "these Sonic's are terrible, The south is better" i would consider never eating there again.
JBH3 Do you every come to these and get better experiance? Again im not bashing here but since you mentioned the ones in my neck of the woods, i though id throw my bad experiances in. I remember one time a guy ordered a burger plain and only got the BUN. No meat.
Ironicly enough, i still might go and get a free shake to see if its improved any.Comment

Re: Free Root Beer Floats @ Sonic
Got me 3 of them tonight! Don't even like root beer just ate the ice cream in it.
Taste just like a daquiri. I love the normal soda combinations you can get to. Recently fell in love with the Cherry Sprite.
Try a Orange/Blue Coconut Cream Slush. I gurantee it is the greatest thing from sonic you will ever get.
Not sure if it's just might, but after 8pm the regular cream slushes are $.99 compated to $1.99

The only one I've been to is the one off of rt1 where that new shopping center is w/ the Target etc.Man those 2 suck. I live in between both. Terrible food. Not taking a shot at Sonic, only the 2 in my area.

I've honestly only stopped there a handful of times, mostly in passing on my way to Richmond w/ the wife and son,... to visit family.
Anytime we've stopped it's just been for a snack so I've usually gotten my regular Lemon-Berry Slushie and a grilled chicken wrap. My wife would get the same drink, and a chili dog and we've never had any issues w/ service and/or food.
Ollie - I'll have to try that drink out...
Happy Hour drink specials kick ***. I got a LG Lemon-Berry slush on my way home from my parents house in Chesapeake for .98 cents. That's a kickass deal!Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Free Root Beer Floats @ Sonic
We have never had any in North Jersey, but they are building one at the moment about ten minutes from my house. It's supposed to be ready by July. I'll have to check it out when it opens to see what all the fuss is about.

Re: Free Root Beer Floats @ Sonic
Wow, I didn't even realize that there weren't very many Sonics in other places haha. There are like at least 5 within a 5 mile driving distance for me.
We do need a Sonic drinks thread though, I love stopping by there for happy hour after class during the fall.Fan of....

Re: Free Root Beer Floats @ Sonic
Yeah, we finally got Sonic in this area last year. I'd seen the commercials forever and was really excited to finally experience it. I love Sonic now.
