    Going back to college

Ok all, I'm going back to college . At some point. I can get enough to do it, through loans but might have to wait for winter quarter. I have about 50 credits right now from a community college, and I'm 27. I have 3 choices...my goal is to get an english/journalism degree and then a masters in a theological subject, or non-profit management.

My 4 choices are, 1)go to the community college , probably live w/dad and finish up my AA and then get a 4 -year from the same school. Or do it online. www.bellevuecollege.edu

    2) get the AA and then transfer to a 4-year, and keep working

    3) go to a liberal arts public college, www.evergreen.edu which offers pass/fail grades and evaluations that are permanently attached to the transcript. Very, very, liberal school and you don't get a degree in anything , just a 4 year degree. Which is no problem, because I plan on getting a masters. And I'd live on campus, which would enable me to keep income down and get more grants/ finaid next year.

    Thoughts?

Just one question...what do you plan on doing with this education?

Being a writer, and working with either churches or nonprofits.

        What kind of writer?

Some fields value internships, work experience, and quality of work ahead of an education/degree. If that's the case, you might consider a alternate plan. Unless of course you just want the degree, nothing wrong with that.

Where do you live? There are a lot of good Seminary online. I got my MivD from Dallas Theological Seminary. But Trinity is a good Seminary and it has online degrees too. If you want to write Christian books, then getting as much Bible knowledge can't hurt. You can go the English degree route too, but if you want to work with churches then I get a bible degree in business management or Christian Leadership.
