Re: WINE sleppers....
I've had 4 or 5 glasses of wine my entire life....the first time was only a single glass with dinner, then I had the rest two weeks ago. All red so far...
Eh. Tastes fine, but I think I drank it too quickly and I had some heartburn after. Not too bad, though, it actually got me drunk quicker than I expected.Comment

Re: Wine Sippers....
Jonesy should know this...
Tried a cheap/cheaper bottle cause the Mad Dogs was sold out...
Got Black Opal Shiraz....
Now for cheaper wine... it is pretty tasty. Thinner than most heavier Shiraz, almost chug-able it is so thin... but is VERY tasty for a cheap, non corked (trending) bottle of wine.
Quite impressed. I guess it is true what they say, no such thing as a bad tasting wine.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Wine Sippers....
I don't know about that. There are some pretty awful ones out there.
I have to say I'm pretty spoiled with wine though. Uncle's a connoisseur of sorts. Always nice to go over for holidays and have a really nice bottle of something around.Comment

Re: Wine Sippers....
Yeah I was quite impressed with it for a Shiraz... a little lighter than most, but definitely tasty and worth buying again, and again!Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Wine Sippers....
I will be having a few glasses of this tonight myself: 2009 Deer Stalker Melot
It's this small boutique vineyard that don't sell to liquor stores etc and only sell to the people on their mailing list. The Mrs and I just managed to stumble onto them when we were doing a wine tour in our best wine country region (Barossa Valley in South Australia) and loved the wine so much that every year since 2006 we have been buying a carton of their merlot and slowly work our way through it while keeping a few in 'the wine cellar'. When I say wine cellar I actually mean a little wine compartment built into the end of one of the benches in our house kinda like this:
It's not majorly expensive (about $20 a bottle) but more expensive than we usually drink for day to day stuff.Last edited by Jonesy; 10-15-2011, 02:43 AM.Comment

Re: Wine Sippers....
I'm more of a beer connoisseur but I've had some pretty tasty wines throughout the years. I prefer some of the sweeter desert wines if I'm going to drink wine. I can see my appetite for wine going up as I get into my 30's in a few years.
Right now I'm about 3 glasses into a bottle of moscato and it's niiiiiiceComment
