Most Dominating Team/Player of the Decade

Seen on BSPN's "First Take" that they were having a discussion about the Most Dominating Team/Player, Most Feared Player, Most Explosive Offense of the Decade from Pro Football(Marcellus Wiley), NBA(John Ireland from LA), NHL(Barry Melrose), and Soccer(Tommy Smyth).

For Most Dominating Team of the Decade they said Lakers, Patriots, Red Wings and Manchester United.

For Player, it was Tom Brady, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady, and Kobe Bryant.

And For Most Explosive Offense of the Decade, they said 07 New England Patriots(Coulda sworn the question was Decade, Marcellus) Lakers, Manchester United, and Red Wings.

So yea, some obvious answers that probably should've been expected, but now I ask those same questions to you. But instead of just naming one team, you can name one team from each major sport(NBA,NFL,MLB,NHL,Soccer)as well as Most Dominating Player as well from each major sport.

I'll do the best teams because they're a lot easier IMHO, lol.

NBA: Lakers, even if they don't win it this year, which I think they will. 3 championships and 6 finals appearances seals it.

NFL: Patriots: Can't argue with 3 Super Bowls and 4 Super Bowl appearances.

MLB: This one is a bit tougher. There hasn't been a repeat champion for the entire decade. The Yankees have made the playoffs every year but one but the Red Sox have the most titles in the decade, so I guess I have to give it to them.

NHL: Red Wings. Most consistently successful team in the NHL, not just in this decade, but for the past 15 years or so.

I'm not a soccer expert by any means, so I won't pretend to know who's been dominating the scene in the past ten years. I'll leave this one to someone else.

Wait, they said Tom Brady was the most dominating player in football and hockey?

That's because the 2007 Patriots were the most explosive offense of this decade.

IMHO, I'm pretty sure Tommie Harris was more feared than Dorsey.

Yeah, I don't really get this complaint.

Re: Most Dominating Team/Player of the Decade

I guess we're misinterpreting the question because I looked at the question as them asking which team has had the best Offense over a 10 year span, in which case I would've went with the Colts.

EDIT: Watched the repeat and the way the question was presented, it definitely sounded like they were asking which team has had the most explosive Offense over a 10 years as opposed to the most explosive offense OF the last 10 years.

I kinda figured that's what you were getting at.

I do. That team didn't win anything.

I would say the most explosive offense in all of sports in the last decade is the '04 USC Trojans (CFB).

Big deal, they didn't win. It doesn't make them less dominant.

Yeah, just because they didn't win the SB doesn't mean they weren't, arguably, the most explosive offensive team.

But, if the question was posed as the best team over the ten year period, I'd probably agree that the past ten years was probably the Colts.

2004 wasn't the most explosive USC offense, and the most explosive offense (05) wasn't the best offense that year.

How can you be dominant and not win?

Are the Mavericks dominant? Have they ever been?
