DTV Transition

Guys,
I know alot of people on here don't have to worry about this.. I don't have cable so I'm stuck with DTV boxes and Antenna's.... I live in a apartment building and am on the bottom floor. So my reception pretty much stinks. With that said I also can't have a outdoor antenna.... Any suggestions on how to improve a indoor antenna? Or have any good antenna suggestions? I saw in the manual that the Amplified portion of the antenna may actually hurt your reception. Well it didn't help me. I'm lost and am pretty pissed at this transition. Before my picture wasn't sharp but I had 16 channels with a standard antenna. Now with the box and a amplified antenna, I only get 6..

i've heard several complaints....sometimes just cars driving by or a few clouds will mess it up

Do you have a patio? If you do, you can put an antenna there, doesn't matter what your lease says. See the OTARD laws for your rights. First check which direction and what type of antenna you should use. Use antennaweb.org to get this info. Then try to point the antenna at the stations.

I would do some research and get a good antenna. There are more efficient things that just rabbit ears which you have to position perfectly.

LOL, I'm just messing with you guys. I got 3 DVR's going in the crib and streaming video to PS3 and 360's around the house. I've been aware of this for quite some time.

I figured something was up, generally OS is tech-savvy enough that we're not really the target market for all those DTV ads and such. But next time, use some of these:
