    Nike + iPod system?

Does anyone have any experience with the Nike + iPod sports kit? I'm assuming it will work with any shoe and links wirelessly from your shoe to your iPod giving you stats on distance travelled, cals burnt etc.

I've never had it, but I think you need Nike shoes that support it (have a spot in the shoe for the transmitter thing to go into). Not sure how you'd get it to work on a pair of New Balances or something...

Cool stuff though, I have also been interested to learn more about this.

I've always thought you needed nike+ shoes to make it work also.

Nikes don't fit my feet correctly, otherwise I would give this a trial.

I'm willing to bet there's stuff you can buy that'd let you tie this to your laces or something, but just not sure how well that'd work compared to having it in a shoe made for holding it...

I did a bit of a look around and apparently it is possible to rig it to any other type of shoe with a little bit of modification and it still remains accurate:

thanks for that captain bringdown. Care to elaborate?

It's pretty cheap and seems like a good way to track distance etc to add as an extra motivational tool.

I'm building my way up to running a 10k and then a half mara so i like the idea of being able to head off for a run wherever i am and being able to accuratley judge the distance of the run. Doesn't seem that ridiculous to me?

Anyone else used it or have opinions on it?

You can find accessories that allow to use the sensor with any pair of shoes.

I love the nike+ system. Cool program and definitely an extra motivator

                  Cranky much?

Anybody use this? I'm about to buy one and I'm wondering if it really works. I'm more of a weight training person and I hate running but I think tracking my progress would really motivate me.

Here's a confession: I'm in love with a man. What? I'm in love with a man... a man named God. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for God? You betcha.
