I'm pretty sure I did once or twice when I was really young. I try to avoid public pools now though, no telling what is in there.

I admit I have but only once or twice.

BTW what's the point of a poll when the results are hidden?

Yeah, i have when I was really young, but not since.

Kinda funny, 3 weeks ago I was at my condo pool and a family was having a bbq out there. Their little kid (5-6 maybe, not sure) was swimming and running around. He jumps on a sitting area next to palm trees, rips down his swim trunks, puts his arms in the air and just lets the pee flow. After 5-10 seconds his family realized and came over, but not like they could make him hold it at that point. Kinda funny but sad the kid that age didn't know better.

I don't shower specifically before going swimming, but I always do after. Most of my swimming is in semi-public pools (condo or apt complexes) though.

If one doesn't shower after swimming in a pool then UGH. I used to make it a rule to do that when I lived in a condo or when my cousin lived in one as we often went swimming a lot.

I'm sure I did when I was younger...same with the beach. I usually get that out of the way before I get in though.

talking about children is one thing. Children Pee everywhere, in bed, the pool, on each other, etc. I was at the amusement park on the 4th and this little boy wipped it out and peed off the steps through the fence. His mom then started flipping out and getting them out of there.

I am talking about grown men and woman peeing in pools man, like 20,30,40 year old men just peeing in a pool. this is wrong bro. those of you who do that have issues. how hard is it to walk to the BR.

The showering has nothing to do with taking a real shower. There usually is a shower outside near the pool, just a shower head on a pipe. Its so you wash off any dirt, sweat, cologne, lotion, etc. You're just supposed to get your skin wet, nothing else. Then you do the same thing when you get out to get the chlorine off you.

Re: So... ever let go while in a pool?

I Always thought it was a miracle that I could be in a pool for an hour or two and never see one kid get out and use the restroom. Especially in high school when you can't go 15 minutes of any class without some kid asking to use the bathroom.

I did it as a kid, but not anymore, though honestly i'm not going to flip out if someone else does. I imagine the chlorine does it's job before the urine can do any harm, which unless you drink liters of urine, I don't think it can do any harm anyway. The pool has filters and chemicals to keep the water properly balanced.

Imagine how many people and animals have peed, pooped, puked and thrown god knows what in to the lake the next time you decide to go water skiing or wake boarding. Sure it's more diluted, but if that is the excuse, what damage is a few ounces of urine going to do in a 50,000 or more gallon pool?

My HS science teacher always said "the solution to pollution is dilution." I guess that seems to apply with pools and lakes as well.

7 ounces of urine in 55,000 gallons of filtered pool water is nothing

Honestly, no. Not even because I cared about the other people, but because I'm not too keen on swimming in my own piss.
