I don't understand women in the media at times. They clearly make it to the top for having above average to stellar looks and exploit it to their advantage, yet when it is flipped around on them they cry fowl.

Now don't get me wrong, for an invasion of privacy to have been like this is just wrong, but at the same time, it's just her naked. What's the big deal? It's not like they caught her in an intimate moment with another man/woman/inanimate object, it's just her naked.

If anything, this has gotten her far more publicity than her average-sportscasting skills ever have and now she gets to look like a media darling because she has been victimized. She has every right to be upset (conspiracy theories abound) but at the same time she is going to benefit from it ten-fold.

But as stated, something about this seems fishy. There is the perfect storm (naked for no reason but to be naked, reverse peephole, guy in the hallway somehow not getting caught, low quality video so she keeps some sense of "mystery", using ABC & ESPN resources to QUICKLY remove all videos, etc) and the fact that if kept under-wraps she suffers absolutely no backlash from the media & public yet gains all the martyr-dom.

LOL at all of the "she was in on it" conspiracy theories. What was her motive? Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton had motives for putting out their tapes. Andrews has no reason to be in on it. She is probably the top sideline reporter on ABC/ESPN now. She is well known among the sports world. How would leaking a tape of her naked expand her career?

You don't think that there could be potential opportunities beyond the realm of sideline reporting? If she plays the victim card right and appeals to the masses, who knows what opportunities would be out there.

Oprah makes a heck of alot more than a sideline reporter. SO does Barbara Walters. Look what Katie Curaek Pulls in. Most of the sportscasters and sideline reporters would take different jobs outside of sports if the pay was right and the opportunity presented itself.

I have no idea if this was staged or not. But its naive these days not to at least explore both sides of the coin.

Amongst guys but your average person doesn't know who the hell she is. If she wants to expand into things other than doing sideline reporting than it's a great way for her to get her name out there.

Look what Kim K's sextape did for her career. Paris was loaded no matter what happened.

And do what? A reality show? A Playboy Spread? Playboy would have paid her plenty before the tape to do a spread. She probably lost money on this because of the tape. With all the work she does, I promise you she is making more than Kim K does each year right now.

Shoot the average person doesnt know who Kim K is after the sex tape.

Yea I don't see any reason for her to be in on it. There's just no incentive worth having the world see her naked. She's not low class so has no reason to want the publicity like this.

Especially when she doesnt have to do that. There are numbers of former ABC/ESPN reporters (Melissa Stark, Robin Roberts, Hannah Storm) who moved on to network news jobs without having to do anything controversial. And none of those women are as cute or as personable as EA.****, if she did plan this I like her even more becuse she is an evil genius.

Especially when she doesnt have to do that. There are numbers of former ABC/ESPN reporters (Melissa Stark, Robin Roberts, Hannah Storm) who moved on to network news jobs without having to do anything controversial. Just because its Erin Andrews doesn't mean she didn't have a hand in it. I am positive, it wouldn't take long to figure out 10+ ways she could profit or advance her career from this.

Yeah...I understand questioning the Big Ben assault victim's legitimacy because she's going for money and there are a lot of questionable things. I think it's laughable to assume this was done intentionally when there's nothing to really support that fact.

Honestly, this could hurt EA a bit as a sports reporter...Women in sports have long had to struggle to gain legitimacy and be thought of as more than just T&A. I find it highly unlikely that she'd use this as some sort of career springboard.

But isn't a sideline reporter still just T & A to some extent? They take the best looking one's they have and put them down there to do an emotional story, throw the coach a softball at half time, and report on injuries kind of. They are there partly to look pretty.

When you host sportscenter, do color in the boot, etc, thats when you've made it past the just a pretty face.

I also find it highly unlikely that she would use this as a springboard. However, there are circumstances of the video that look fishy. ANd this is the internet so everything is a conspiracy.
