Re: Who Has the Best Job in Sports?
I have a friend that is the visiting clubhouse attendant for the Oakland A's. So on gameday, he gets there when the visiting team gets to the stadium. He does clubhouse stuff (runs errands, lays out the food, gets gum, etc.) then during the game he gets to be the visitors' bat boy.
Each home series he gets to wear the opposing team's away uniform. They don't let him keep the jersey, but he gets to keep the hat, pants and socks. And he gets paid (minimum wage) but he gets tips from the players.
Sounds pretty chill to me. But its not a "career". Still jealous of him though!Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

Re: Who Has the Best Job in Sports?
Who has the combination of the easiest job to attain while being in the best situation in sports?
Obviously an owner needs to be extremely wealthy and earn their cash and Stephon Marbury, Ben Wallace and Mike Shanahan had to work their butts off to get in the position they're in. Even guys like Brian Scalabrine and Mark Madsen had to put a lot of effort in to become millionaires and NBA players. To add on top of that, all of these payers/owners get criticized by large numbers of people if they fail to produce, especially considering the salary they're making and the influence they have (if they're an owner).Comment

Trainer.
you get to workout all day, prepare workout plans for others, and talk and joke around with cool dudes...prolly get the groupies they dont want, just by saying "i train so and so..."
decent pay, luxury travel.
plus you sit courtside during games, and get to rock those SWEET team logo polos to prove your team affiliation.
winner, winner, chicken dinner.Last edited by GSW; 07-23-2009, 12:20 PM.#SimnationComment
