Who else hardly uses their minutes?
July '08, I finally broke down & got a cell phone. I put my mom on my plan. Combined, we can get 700 minutes per month. Last June, we used 110 total. I don't think we've reached 150 in a month yet.Originally posted by VP Richard M. Re: Who else hardly uses their minutes?
My current plan gives me 400 minutes a month and I never go over. Prior to that, my plan gave me 250 and I never got close to going over. The only reason I increased my minutes was because 400 was the lowest I could go on Sprint's Everything Plan. -

Being in Law Enforcement I have Nextel so I use Direct Connect. Therefore I rarely get close to using all my minutes and Direct Connect is unlimited on my plan.Texas A&M Aggies

Re: Who else hardly uses their minutes?
I feel like I'm wasting money. I could get half the minutes & still be overpaying.Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.

Re: Who else hardly uses their minutes?
Me too. Verizon called me once and tried to get me to bump up my minutes. I told the woman that we never get close to the limit (it was 400 at the time). So she decided to look it up and said "Oh, you average 110 minutes/month. I guess you don't need to bump up your plan."MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies

Re: Who else hardly uses their minutes?
Yeah, I got a good deal that's been about 5 years already, so I pay $39 for 1000 anytime minutes and $5 for unlimited texts. I was texting enough that it was worth the $5, but I only use around 200 minutes in a normal month. I think my record was 500-something. I would reduce it, but many of the smaller plans are still only $5 or so less than what I'm paying, so it's not really worth it since I may end up needing all those minutes at some point.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Who else hardly uses their minutes?
I am in the same boat and my company pays for my bill. I had 900 minuyes and now have 450, but rarely go over 100. I have over 3500 rollover banked up that I will never get close to using.
I spend more time playing brick breaker than I do talking on the phone.Comment

Re: Who else hardly uses their minutes?
I have a family plan with T-Mobile. I put my dad on the plan and between us we have 700 minutes per month. We do not come close to using are mintues either. I use it more on the weekends and during the night which is free so those calls do not take away from our minute total. Also, when I call my dad since he is with the same carrier it does not take away from our total as well.
I have the phone more for emergencies so my dad can get a hold of me if he is not feeling well.Comment

Re: Who else hardly uses their minutes?
I've opted for the Verizon plan that provides the minimal amount of minutes w/ free texting to.
Unless you're a single dude or like talking on the phone like a girl... -or- use your cell for business as well I don't see why anyone would need anything more than 400-700 min/max.
