Tips needed for hanging a heavy punching bag...

Hey guys. I wanted to pick up a heavy bag (70 lbs.), but don't want to spend the money on a rack for it (about 120 bucks). I want to hang the bag in the garage, but the beam is probably 10-12 feet off the ground, and it's just one beam running from wall to wall. It should be able to support it well, but I don't have a clue about how to go about hanging it properly. Any advice guys?

    Be careful.

I had one in my old garage that I bolted into the main support beam for the whole house that did just fine but at the new crib with it's stand alone garage I can't use the bag at all. If I get to beating on it the whole support structure starts creaking.

Get a big hook from home depot or Lowe's that screws in.
