    Nap time...at the computer?

Okay, so I guess I've been pretty tired since school has started for some reason. I guess being at school just makes me really tired, not because of doing work(senior year is a joke), but it just makes me tired being there. I usually get really tired after dinner but sometimes right after school, and over the past few weeks I've been falling asleep while I'm on here. It's only like 5 or 10 minute naps usually, but they have to be the best things ever. I wake up like I just got a full night of sleep.

I was wondering if anyone else falls asleep while they're on the computer, or if I'm alone in this?

I've fallen asleep once at the computer. It was like 2 AM, and I was trying to finish up a flight (Flight Simulator X) before I went to bed. I blinked, and imagine my suprise when I woke up and my plane had run out of fuel and crashed.

School is killing me though, I have taken a 2 to 3 hour nap every day this week.

I once fell asleep at my job at the computer. I was sitting in one of those adjustable seats when I dozed off. All of a sudden I wake up flailing my arms like I was falling. My co-worker had let my seat down and he was dying laughing, then he told me "better me than him" pointing towards my boss' office.

            THIS.

A 10 minute power nap is a thing of beauty.

Sometimes when I was in college I would be really tired in class (usually labs) and would start nodding off for just a couple seconds at a time. My eyes would close and my head would start to sink towards my chest then I'd snap back awake and pick my head up. Well, after a few minutes of doing that I would all of the sudden feel totally refreshed and be able to be fully alert for the rest of class.

That was my MO too. I was never a morning person so I usually nodded off. The high school I went to was a pretty far distance away so i'd actually sleep on the bus and time when I was supposed to wake up. One time I overslept and almost missed the stop to school!

As for the computer thing, one time I was doing an assignment and I totally shutdown and was fast asleep, next thing I knew it was 6 in the morning and I had to rush to finish the assignment while eating breakfast! That was kinda embarrassing but oh well.

It happens pretty frequently to me. Sleep just doesn't stop for anything, even my computer can't keep me focused enough to avoid sleep.

When I was in college, I got a lot of sleep in lecture. Hell sometimes, if I was tired enough, I would just walk out

Yes, they are a thing of beauty. I can only take them if I fall asleep while I'm on the computer, otherwise I'll be out for hours if I'm in bed.

I've done that plenty of times, not the most comfortable thing when you wake up but I tend to fall asleep like that occasionally.

I know what you mean, it just drains me. I was doing the same thing as you last year, but now I've discovered how to take power naps which has let me keep my same sleep schedule.

Yep, I'll be reading something and just eventually doze off.

Sounds like me the past two years(except it being HS), I got a lot of sleep I should've been getting the night before but I didn't quite care too much. I'd advise against sleeping through class, trust me it won't help you out in the end.

One time at work, I just had to nap. So I propped my head up with the phone receiver to my other ear. But, since we can't have our phones off the hook, since the co. operator will come on, I taped down the handset thingy. I was able to get some of the nap in, but then somebody walked in and it still looked like I was on the phone. Then..... the phone rang.... while it was still up at my ear!

Haha that's classic. Just like the Sitcom cliche where the husband is too lazy to call the repair guy so he fakes it, and the phone rings while he is doing it.

I sleep on the bus all the time. I have like a 10 minute or so bus ride 3 or 4 times a day. I fall asleep for a few minutes on there and feel refreshed.
