    Weird/Unique Food Combinations

I started thinking about all the food threads I've been seeing around here and I was wondering if you have any unusual or unique foods that you eat, that other's may think of as weird or even gross.

    I have a few:

    1. Canned Tuna, Crackers and Cheese- It may not be that weird to most but, I have came across some people who thought it was kind of weird.

    2. Canned Asparagus and Cheese Sandwiches- I came up with this when I was going through some hard times and just had to scrap together whatever I had in the cabinet. You basically, heat the canned asparagus, add a slice of cheese once melted, stack on 4 pieces of toast kind of like pancakes.

    3. Peanut Butter Waffles- This ones pretty simple and self explanatory.

    4. Combo of Honey nut Cheerios and Corn Flakes cereal- Once, I only had half a bowl of each and was to lazy to go to the store so, I decided to add them together and Viola, a cereal star is born.

    5. Pineapple and Mayo Sandwiches- Yeah, I know this one sounds gross and I've caught the most flack from this on, as well. But, it's actually quite delicious so, don't knock it until you try it. Just be sure to drain the pineapples and try to get them as dry as possible because theres nothing worse than wet bread.

Well, that's all I can think of for now, I will add more if I think of them. Feel free to share yours as well.

Also, cheese and pickles in a nice bowl of Chili is pretty good too.

Not that weird. I'm pretty sure I've seen tuna on the back of a ritz box.

          2. Canned Asparagus and Cheese Sandwiches- I came up with this when I was going through some hard times and just had to scrap together whatever I had in the cabinet. It's weird just for the fact that it has canned asparagus.

          3. Peanut Butter Waffles- This ones pretty simple and self explanatory.
Not weird at all. Waffles are a bread product... people put Peanut Butter on bread...

          4. Combo of Honey nut Cheerios and Corn Flakes cereal- Once, I only had half a bowl of each and was to lazy to go to the store so, I decided to add them together and Viola, a cereal star is born.
I mean, it's cereal, and neither is a real sugary cereal. I can see this being good.

          5. Pineapple and Mayo Sandwiches- Yeah, I know this one sounds gross and I've caught the most flack from this on, as well. You certainly saved the best for last... lol... that IS weird.

I've dipped grilled cheese in franks and put a different hot sauce on a grilled cheese quesadilla. Not TOO weird.

hmmm... People dip chips in pre-made dips, so it's not that much different. But it is kinda weird.

Also, cheese and pickles in a nice bowl of Chili is pretty good too.
hmmm... the cheese is fine. Pickles? Sweet pickles or dill? lol

          Weird.

I dip Peanut Butter sandwiches in chili, which some people think is weird.

I like a combination of miracle whip and Italian dressing on sandwiches, but they're both dressings, so it's not too weird.

Tater tots/fries on certain pizzas is pretty good.

Peanut butter and anything tomatoey. I've done this since I was young and I think I got it from my Dad. Anyway, we'd always eat a folded half PB-only sandwich with tomato soup, spaghetti, anything like that. I ALWAYS crave a PB sandwich if I'm eating something with tomato sauce in it, never fails... in mixed company I go with garlic bread or something more socially-acceptable ha.

I feel you on the PB + red chili combination too bgeno -- ground beef or sausage in it makes me want a PB sandwich even more than just tomato sauce.

Sounds good. I love some corn bread and milk.... But, I don't know if it's really that weird.

I have to admit that I've never heard that before. Maybe I should try it ..

BTW, I plan in trying out some of your canned tuna recipes also.

I'm partial to chocolate chip cookies (or anything chocolate for that matter) with Beer. Take a bite of the cookie and a big chug of beer...hmmmm goood!

I also like popcorn and apples. Take a bite of apple and shove in a couple kernels of popcorn for good measure...very tasty.

^^I like those little chocolate footballs, you see around Halloween with cheese. Apples and cheese is also pretty great.

With popcorn, I like Doritios and Mt.Dew.

I ran out of milk once and poured a bunch of Salsa over Frosted Flakes and ate it like a normal bowl of cereal. It was delicious.
