                I so thrilled that BK is releasing a 1/4 pound Double!!!!!!! Finally... Work break goodness.

                Think about it... 1 burger everyday is more then filling enough and during the work week that's only 5 bucks... Hell if you get a burger for lunch and a burger for supper, Then that's only 10 bucks man!!! Cheap meals. What a great value this will be

                        Why is it everytime fast food or anything unhealthy in general comes up in OS... someone is always right there to make a comment like this?

                        Not meaning to single you out larrygiterdone because it happens all the time. It's just kind of annoying. Yes I realize I am probably not as healthy as you. I'm OK with that for now. Let me be OK with it.

                            And too add to that, It's all about moderation anyway. You can still hook up the BK special o the day and be healthy. I'm in good health and every once in a while gorge down on double whopper and LOVE IT! I just don't suck em down daily. So I'll be hookin up on this deal sometime over the weekend.

                                I wouldn't eat crap if it was free, but before it turns to crap I thoroughly enjoy my McDonald's burgers at a fair price.

                                    I was kidding about having a burger for lunch at work and dinner 5 days a week.. However, I agree with what you said.. I have become very healthy over the past year and deals like this every once in a while are great.. I have been on atdkins or a modified atdkins diet for about 5 months right now.. But I always allow once a week to splurge... Thing is I don't go crazy... I don't eat out that much anymore so a quick filling 99 cent burger every once in a while keeps things in check for me... This coming from someone who would eat a whole pizza or a bag of chips... I will eat at a good place once a week like the Texas roadhouse for instance.

                                        Funny, as soon as I opened this thread, I expected DC to reply with a comment about how unhealthy fast food chains are

                                        Anyways, is that deal is still in place, then i'm hitting up BK tomorrow for lunch. And if not, i'll settle for 2 Whopper Jr's.

                                            Hardee's has a triple-cheeseburger, the Big Hardee, for $2.29, FYI. Pretty good value there, IMO, if you want a large burger for little.

                                            Bad news is that it weighs in at a whopping 720 calories and 1120mg of sodium

                                                            carl's jr. has the big carl goin for 2.50 right now, and it's definitely one of the best "fast food" burgers i've ever had.
