Sheesh. I didn't think redeeming the game piece was gonna be such a hassle. But it's definitely worth 50 bones. You gotta go online, register your game piece, then print out and sign a form, initial the game piece, and then mail both in to McDonalds. And according to their site: "Materials will be verified within eight to ten (8-10) weeks after they are received, or sooner if reasonably practical."

I also had to provide a copy of my birth certificate, 2 paystubs, last year's tax return, and proof of SSN #. They also pulled a credit report.

Probably like 7 or 8 years ago I got all 3 light blue pieces, won a free Game Boy Advance. It was pretty excellent.

They're manufactured, but obviously McDonald's isn't giving away 50,000 cars or something...The big prices are limited to a certain number (1, 5, 10, whatever)....

I probably won't play much this go around...I always end up with all the normal pieces and just waiting to get lucky with the rare ones. You can usually search on the web to see which property of a grouping is rare.

What about all the people who go to mcdonals who didnt even pay attention to the monopoy thing. I wonder how many times a winner was never peeled from the box and thrown into the trash.

haha, yeah.

As a side note, I've gotten McDonald's once since it started at my fries and pop had the EXACT same pieces each, and one of them was Park Place; can't remember the other.

I'm still working on Subway's scrabble, I'm one freaking S away from a Island vacation.

Now I moved on to Wendy's NCAA game, its kinda cool you enter the code on your computer and then pick your team to either run or pass. I'm assuming if you get a TD you when whatever prize you have. I dont like the AI though they need to PATCH this asap so I can win my prize.
