Going to London...

for the Bucs/Pats game and since I have never been, I was wondering if anyone who has (or lives there) had any tips for good pubs/restaurants. Also, does Wimbley Stadium take debit/credit cards or will I need to bring cash to the game?

Debit/CC's should work, I haven't been there so I can't confirm.

But I just wanted to give you the heads up to make sure you inform your CC company and/or your bank if you plan on using them overseas. If they aren't informed and they see purchases from overseas sometimes they will shut the card down because it seems like a fraudulent charge.

Your gunna wanna go on the London eye, it's the best way to see all of London. Also maybe take a boat tour along the river, it's an interesting way to see the city.

London Eye is cool, but crazy expensive, something like 36 dollar tickets when I went a couple years ago.

Finn, how long are you going to be there?

ANY pub in London is good! Pub food is the best over there. I know the Rose and Crown is one I recommend. It is close to Buckingham Palace, if you're gonna be over that way.

Also check out the Tower of London and take the tour if you're into history because that place is pretty awesome, it's also where they keep the crown jewels.

Another thing I suggest if you have time are walking tours. There's a few different groups who do them and they cover a wide range of topics. I did one that took us to the Jack the Ripper murder sites at night which was really interesting.

Tons of stuff to do in that city!

Thanks for the tips. I am going to be there for a week and other then the game on Sunday and a trip to Stone Henge 1 day, my time is free.

Don't forget to visit Hampton Court and Regents Park. London has countless of great places but the best are the less well known.
