    Haunted Destinations

Anyone else itching to go somewhere that's supposedly haunted this month? I've always wanted to do something like this close to Halloween but never have, mainly because I can't get my wife anywhere near anything even remotely scary. LOL Anyway, I'm thinking of taking the night tour at the Moundsville Pen here in WV and was just curious how many of you have done something similar and what were your experiences?

    Here's the link for Moundsville:

Built in 1866 and decommissioned in 1995, this former state penitentiary now offers day tours, paranormal investigations, escape rooms, and more. Book now!

    Re: Haunted Destinations

One of the funnest vacations I have been on was my wife and I went to Savannah and Charlseton basically on a ghost hunting trip.

We went to all the places of note. Did a haunted Pub Crawl at Midnight which was a riot. Stopped by all these pubs and had a beeer and walked past the haunted places and got a story on each place.

I got alot of pictures. Alot of the pictures have those orbs in them. Not sure if anything was really haunted or not. I did see a chain move just slightly in a basement and I really didn't see anyone by it who could have moved it. Fun trip but didn't get any real evidence.

A week from this Saturday my wife and several other couples are going to "The Haunted Maze". It's a massive cornfield maze which takes you about 30 minutes or so to complete. But that's during daylight hours! We are going at night. 9:30pm it starts, it's pretty dark and there is very limited lighting. There are dozens of staff members who are dressed up as Ghosts, goblins, devils, vampires, ghouls, etc. They are all over the maze jumping out at you scaring you half to death. Not to mention spiders and random things falling from the sky.

We went a couple of years ago and it took us over 3 hours to find our way out. You just lose complete sense of direction when it is so dark. It's a really great night out.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I've always liked the tv shows about haunted places. I've never really had any experiences myself, but I would love to find out just how creepy some of these places are at night. I'm sure the mind can play some nasty tricks on you though. I love the adrenaline rush from a good scare though.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I'm hoping so. I'm hoping to be able to capture some pictures like the one on the website.
